The priest at the service of the murdered young journalist Lyra McKee commended the Irish political leaders for standing together in Creggan on Good Friday, and who then asked why in God's name it took the death of a 29-yr-old woman with her whole life ahead of her to get to this point?
Did anyone catch the look of Leo Varadker at that service? He looked as if he wished to be anywhere else but at the service. He looked terribly uncomfortable, uneasy and even sheepish. Also, he was the last to get on his feet when everyone else had risen including Aileen Foster who was sitting right behind him; he was also the last to clap, even then it was an extremely wimpish reluctant on so contrasting to the smugness he displayed when alongside The EU leaders post their meetings on Brexit in Ireland infront of the media. Leo Varadker was brought back down to earth...that no matter how high one is in the political arena there will always be a humbling moment just around the corner, and least unexpectedly. |
