French soldiers will be permitted to 'open fire' if lives are threatened by Yellow Vest rioters this weekend, the military governor of Paris said today.
General Bruno Leray's ominous words highlight the growing law and order crisis faced by President Emmanuel Macron as he faces up to the increasingly violent social movement.
It has now been confirmed that the French Army will support some 5,000 police trying to keep order during the 19th Yellow Vest Saturday demonstration in a row in Paris at the weekend.

Just as well it's not the "Mod Parka" protests, it might already have proved too tempting for soldiers who've spent a lot of time on the range.
Have they got those ones where a flag with 'BANG!' on it pops out? Or is it cork and string?

People with cameras are everywhere at these protests, if a soldier tomorrow decides to shoot a protester then that soldier must make sure he gets his decision absolutely right. Gets the decision wrong and not only will he destroy an innocent person's life but he will also ruin his own.
Throwing stones at heavily armoured riot police isn't threatening their lives.
Apparently over 50% of the Protesters are radicalized not sure by what

So far the heavy handed french police have taken one hand and 20 eyes, if someone gets shot tomorrow then all hell will break out.

It will be most unfortunate if they do. Troops firing on citizens causes widespread hatred and international condemnation. Reconciliation becomes impossible and sparks further violence with unpredictable consequences. The event becomes notorious folklore and is remembered for generations.
