Seems they are coming on board just at the right time An absolute disgrace really, how can you vote something down not once but twice, but then jump on board despite nothing changing in a 3rd vote?I've given up anyway, let them have the deal, hopefully it comes back to bite them on the a**e
Pretty sure voting the deal through would be a disaster for the types May is currently targeting to win over, ie. ERG and DUP. It's gonna be pretty likely May loses total control of this process at some point when she's winning those types of votes by 2 atm, so even if May wants the trade deal to have x, y, z it doesn't mean anything if parliament votes it down and given that parliament vote against like everything the ERG and DUP want it seems unlikely the would be able to control the process.
I wouldn't be surprised if the solution to the Irish border for example just ends up being a permanent customs union and under EU regulations. A customs union seems most likely thing to have a parliamentary majority.
It's why really this deal should be totally unpalatable to the leavers (well both sides in reality but this reasoning is for the leavers), why vote through a deal they hate which they will lose control of in the process as well. Even this idea they get someone they like as PM would probably just lead to parliament taking control and power away from that PM. For that reason it does like anyone changing their mind really is going totally against their principles.
