Has she blown a (Richard) Gasquet?

Unlucky my friend - but THAT IS what it looks like to observe somebody losing their bottle!
Report The Management July 6, 2019 2:01 PM BST
Your girl (Belinda) has a better game than my girl (Johanna) will ever have - yet my girl with a very manufactured (and seriously one dimensional) game has made the Semi Finals of THREE Grand Slam events. Who is the bottler Baphornet?

You called Jo a SERIAL BOTTLER after she lost a Grand Slam Semi Final (not a single word from you beforehand) at a venue where she had never even won a main draw match before and on a surface that does not suit her (very one dimensional) game. You chose that moment in time to call her a serial bottler???

Sure she suffers from nerves - but do you not think just maybe that it's actually the mental side of her game (lets face it - in a sport that is rife with genuine mental midgets) that might be the reason she has got so far with such a limited game?

Maybe you wanna admit you just got it horribly, horribly wrong - and you can get back to giving us all updates on the News without me needing to point out the idiocy of most of your contributions?

For what it's worth, I'm actually a big fan of Belinda Bencic and not a particularly huge fan of Jo Konta's game - but I very much admire her mental approach (no tantrums, no racket smashing, very focused and totally stable) so I won't put up with some after-timing loser writing total and utter garbage.

You could have debated or discussed this with me (at the time) when I disagreed with you - but you chose instead to resort immediately to name calling and insults.
Report The Management July 6, 2019 4:43 PM BST
lol - Konta totally outplayed for the first two sets but get the better of her mental frailty to hang on Laugh

Baphornet - Last seen heading for the PRIDE march sporting a t-shirt with "I'm coming out on 31st October" on the front.

And "I voted for a BJ" on the back. Laugh

party time on Wednesday; two instruments of the mess we are in, gone in one hit. Gawp gone as well - even though he is a non-entity; hopefully to be followed by a few more which will help Bozo. Not having to wield the axe too much is preferable during ones 1st week in charge. I'd like Rudd to resign, but she's already shown cowardice & is begging for a job. Lidington Grayling Hinds & Fox are toast, so all in all my party on Wednesday night will be a most joyous occasionHappy

my thoughts exactly Mr Mafeking. A pair of Europhiles running a Government that was "Committed to Brexit" My contempt for the 2 holds no bounds; even now the nodding dog is issuing shallow threats before a new Cabinet sits! I would hope deselection is awaiting many
Report mafeking July 21, 2019 12:12 PM BST
all music to the brexit party's ears all this further infighting from the various factions. they don't seem to realise on all sides of the house they're in the last chance saloon. a election this autumn will be a massacre for the 2 main parties with maybe up to half the current MPs being turfed out
Report Baphornet July 21, 2019 12:18 PM BST
we can but hope. Will they ever learn; i very much doubt it as some are on suicide watch already. If a i was a Labour voter - "Which thank the lord i'm not sir" (that song will be getting a hearty rendition on Wednesday) i would be positively mortified that my Party could not take advantage of the situation; they should be 20 points ahead in the polls

Report Baphornet July 21, 2019 12:33 PM BST
HGS: welcome to the topic. Corbyn has had his day in the sun; but just like the Tories they have persisted in keeping a leader who drags the Party down. In fairness to Labour though; the nutcase never had a "day in the sun"

The damage may be irreparable by the time he finally steps down.
Report Baphornet July 21, 2019 12:43 PM BST
that could well go for both Parties. Bozo has a chance to right a wrong; & he may well do so. If he doesn't though, then Parliamentarians are on a slippery slope
Report mafeking July 21, 2019 12:45 PM BST
they're between a rock and hard place because of ed miliband's idiocy which has allowed momentum to take over the party. the membership will simply elect another unelectable corbyn clone

i guess at some stage the moderate labour MPs may consider a wholesale breakaway but most of them will hang to their jobs for grim death even if there's no chance of being in government for a generation rather than take a leap into the unknown

dont know the reasoning behind Steve Baker not being given the Brexit Secretarys gig, but it was a surprise to me he didn't get it above Barclay;  i can only assume  it was because Barclay was more entrenched with the EU & their practices so it would seem daft to sack him with so little time left. It may come back to haunt Bozo; so myself personally i would like to see Baker replace Barclay at the 1st sign of no movement from the EU
