No it doesn't. Just because the UK may not consider their marriage as valid it doesn't mean they are not married and he is not her husband. She is in Syria and subject to their legal jurisdiction which as it stands it sounds as if they are married from the information we have. Her husband is Dutch and it sounds like the Netherlands would also recognise it as as a valid marriage. If you want to say her marriage may not be recognised as valid in the UK that's fine but it is pretty much irrelevant until she enters the the UK or seeks to rely on a marital right under UK law. |

I always wonder what Betfair as a company think about this stuff.
We've seen so much pressure for Facebook and Twitter to take responsibility for what's posted on there, and this place is no different. Added to that you have the scrutiny of all things betting at the moment. I've blocked the fool, but someone's quoted lfc's utterly racist and offensive post and there it sits and there he continues to post in the same vein day in, day out. Imagine someone with a grudge was taking screen grabs of the stuff posted here and sent them to a newspaper eager to make capitol from digging out a big bookie. Could be carnage. Just don't understand how the mods are so reckless and allow this filth on here unchecked. |

I don’t think it’s particularly bigoted to suggest the non allowance of ‘these people’ to not be allowed back into a country to sow anti British hatred after they have clearly shown their true intentions, not simply verbally but affirmatively in their actions in covertly advancing that of an enemy. She and others have abused the good nature of the accommodations of the civil rights, not just in the support of an aggressor, but in the manner she was blasé in assuming she’d be able to abuse our trust once more by being allowed back, showing the least contrition in playing to the gallery of her community and rearing a future possible headache in the process. This country has become something of a laughing stock, humiliated and pillaged from people within who quite happily will abuse our trust. For the record, my comment about the ‘Home Office having a mobile disco at the news’ was based on the invidious position officials had before the child died. |

Shouldn't come here because she wears a hijab, send her to a Muslim country. Something about muslims voting for Labour. Etc. Just about some of the most overt racist stuff on any mainstream board. But it's still up here hours later. As I've said, I just think this could be very damaging to the Betfair brand if someone gave it to the Mirror for example. You've got months and thousands of posts of his and many others just like this. It's not a one off. Would be some very awkward questions to answer. Just surprised they're being so reckless. |

I doubt the Mirror would care. Whilst I would agree the hijab comment may be racist saying we should send an islamic extremist who went abroad to join a terrorist organisation to a muslim country and that we don't want her type here breeding is not in any way racist. It's a perfectly acceptable viewpoint. |
