It's called comedy . One is permitted to 'offend' if humour is your intention

I don’t think I’m offended more shocked tbh.
I’m no EDL supporter either nor spice girl admirer although Emma was ok. They lap it up, seemingly and the guy is a complete a-hole. |

By:
You find him funny?
|
|
By:
No , sorry . Things I used to find funny have all been outlawed as 'topics of humour' over the last 5 years or so .
Occasionally I draw the curtains and turn up the radio and watch old episodes of Til Death Us Do Part , It Ain't Half Hot Mum and Jim Davisons Big Break on YouTube . So far I've escaped detection ![]() |

I really can’t tell if you are joking, Reynard.
|
|
By:
If I was joking somebody , somewhere , would be offended

................... Unless the target of my 'humour' happened to be a member of the same socio-economic demograph as the target of Mr Kumars little jest

I happened upon his programme last week. He derided the British Empire yet he is quite happy to benefit from it. Perhaps he'd prefer to live in a Bombay slum. His 'humour' appeals to ultra left-wingers who think saying 'fück' etc. is hilarious and can't help but giggle at the mention of 'bum' or 'willy'. I have over a thousand years of ancestry on this Island and to call Kumar as British as me is a bloody disgrace.

I'm Nish's agent, I can arrange a Q&A on here tomorrow if there's a demand for it.
|
|
By:
Just called Nish, he said post your questions and he'll email me the answers 7pm tomorrow.
|
|
By:
Is he still living at No.42 ? I'll pop round for a bottle of Cobra on my way home from my lunchtime walk if he's gonna be in

I can answer that one easily enough, he has a penthouse just off the Kings Road now. Any questions about his career, post them up and I'll pass on the answers tomorrow evening.

Any questions about his career, post them up and I'll pass on the answers tomorrow evening. Career ? I'd hardly call his work a career . Mr Kumar is simply stealing a living ![]() |

As long as I get my 10%
|
|
By:
Don't think he's ever said anything slightly amusing let alone funny.
|
|
By:
But what is most important is that whatever he says , he says it to an audience that knows exactly what they can or cannot laugh at . They are only offended by things that normal people don't find offensive and vice versa

By:
I wonder how he’d get on at the Glasgow Empire.
|
|
By:
Damn, you boys sure do love to get offended
|
|
By:
Not offended by him .Just dont find him funny.
Hes 1 notch above Michael Mcintyre and John Bishop. Thats how bad he is. |
|
By:
So don't watch him. Simple.

So don't watch him. Simple. Which is exactly what I would suggest to those who objected to the 'humour' of a certain Bernard Manning . However , it was nor sufficient for the PC brigade at the time who wanted him banned . |

Always the victim

He's not remotely funny but ticks a BBC diversity box so is guaranteed a lot of airtime and will be for the foreseeable future, regardless of the expected relationship the license fee payer expects between being a "comedian" and being able to deliver "comdedy. I liked the website the Daily Mash which has a surrealist off the wall style I like and swings at anything it thinks is funny. I looked forward to the Mash Report. It is however awful, it competes with the Last Leg for most preachy un-humour on TV. Kumar's "Mash Report" is a 30 minute long sanctimonious unfunny left wing rant. He's appeared a few times now on Question Time, what a petulant bitter little leftie he is. Last time he was on he'd obviously pre rehearsed a set piece "scripted" un-comedy routine that was for something that was going to come up (Brexit as usual as I recall) and as soon as the question went vaguely near that, his smug fixed grin came on and he just launched into his laugh free leftie rant. Then other times sat in the huff when others said things his dim little brain couldn't argue with.

Manning wasn't a victim

He used to be funnier until THE LEFT got at him.
|
|
By:
Manning was a victim of diabetes.

If you can be anything you want to be just by "identifying" as it, and the BBC feel obliged to employ people regardless of talent to make sure that identity group get TV coverage to virtue signal their "inclusivity".. How about we invent a new minority group, say me mouse and crisp join it, and demand the BBC employ us, otherwise it's against our "human rights"?
The "Crispy Mouse Checking" comedy hour. Where 3 minutes in Study Form comes on and tells us why we aren't doing comedy right. One of us has to be transgender though I think to guarantee BBC sponsorship, and MY whang isn't getting removed and my moobs are big enough as it is, so Crisp and Mouse can fight that one out themselves. |

I don't do stand up due to a lack of legs.
|
|
By:
I don't do much comedy either, I'm just the agent although I did have a hand in writing some of Nish's QT scripts.

"I don't do comedy, though I did have a hand in writing some of Nish's QT scripts."
Edited down, that sentence is the truthiest thing I've read on chit chat ;) |

I pay my licence fee so am entitled to an opinion.
When I saw him on LATHE I gave him a chance and he was straight in like a rat up a drainpipe. It irks me that he makes money from my contribution albeit it very small. And no I don’t want an echo chamber. I don’t get anything out of people preaching and dressing it up as comedy. He could be funny but he prefers to preach. People seem to like having their ideas constantly reinforced I hope I am better than that. For those with a spare half hour, in other words most on here try listening to “something understood” you can get it on bbciplayer R4. It was about open mindedness something many on here could learn from. |

By:
Love how black and Asian people aren't just allowed to be funny. They're just popular because it's diverse, not because other, normal people actually find their jokes funny.

When a finger points to the moon the idiot looks at the finger.

By:
Are porcupine or any leftie on here capable of reading what people say without misunderstanding it and trying some sad "strawman" argument?
It's pathetic. |
|
By:
POP,
That simply isn’t true. Statements like that are provocative. |
|
By:
Be provoked then. Behold the number of f*cks given. Still remains the attitude of some people.
|
|
By:
Statements like that are how SJWs "argue". How to be a SJW:
Step 1 open mouth, Step 2, accuse someone of being a racist/fascist****-trans-whatever-phobe. The simple fact is I want people to be employed, e.g. comedians to be funny irrespective of "race" or "gender". The BBC and their like believe people should be selected for roles based on race or gender etc. It's the SJW types who are in fact racist. |

JC - do you understand the concept of subjectivity?
That some people can find a person funny, and yet - AND YET - others don't That some people can like Ed Sheeran ffs and yet, there are other people who have some taste. Do you understand this notion? Do you understand that the simple fact that you don't like something doesn't mean others also don't and therefore the only reason for their success is because of the colour of their skin? |
