@YouGov
Following Following @YouGov More With the Shadow Culture Secretary promising to introduce limits on how much internet gamblers can stake and spend if Labour get into power, 78% of Brits say they would support this policy big if true |

How much would it cost if all the pro punters had to start claiming universal credit?

I'd vote for anyone who just said they'd leave me alone.
Nobody ever offers that though. |

SFB, your (near) namesake was probably your best bet.

dave1357, I don't suppose any legislation that would be enforceable would really work against dodgy companies.
But I think you are naïve if you believe all these firms toe the line. What happens is, that there will be new rules and any firm not adhering to them when dealing with the UK customers would have their UK licence revoked. As happens already with independent betting shops (well, until they all disappeared). Nothing has happened yet, but if it did, it would be extremely unlikely to impact, in any way, most betting for nearly everyone. FOBTs needed sorting and trying to sort online casino games is a logical and sensible move. |

It doesn't matter which party allowed it to happen (it was Labour) or which party sorts it out - what needs sorting desperately is the advertising of gambling.
You cannot watch any sporting event without some cockney halfwit telling you to "have a bang on that" - usually a 12/1 score-cast that should be 50/1. A bored housewife (sexist I know!) can't even watch The Chase at 5pm in the afternoon without having Bingo thrust upon her every 15 minutes - no doubt if you were to look at the bingo site it would just be a front to divert you onto their slots or roulette with the promise of free spins. Social Media, Facebook etc already has children now effectively gambling (albeit for candies or marbles or whatever rather than money) but they are being groomed (psychologically and chemically) for the big-time and a life of misery when they come of age. I think in a few years time we will have a massive spike in problem gamblers from the female and yoof demographic because of the current rules (or lack of rules) on advertising. You can say it's their choice and argue for an unregulated free for all if you like (survival of the fittest) but I don't think children should be groomed for gambling any more than alcohol, cigarettes, etc. It's a time-bomb imvho. |

That's the salute used by The Muslim Brotherhood. Is that Corbyn at Finsbury Park Mosque?

Shameful that this person is leader of the opposition with a chance to be PM. He hates Britain, its history and traditions. Friends with terrorists and leads a party riven with antisemitism. It's like some sort of sick joke.

You forgot to put the berets on yer pic, aka.

Where to start?
He is so anti anything British it’s stupefying. I can just see him coming into my golf club, he just wouldn’t know how to talk to any one. He supports a football team with no British players. Does he like cricket? Prob not. Talks to terrorists but not to the British pm unless conditions are agreed. Tbf jaw jaw is better than war war but does he actually know that it was Churchill who came up with that. Tricky cos he prefers Stalin and Lenin to Churchill. Let’s not forget the “stupid woman” thing. Showed himself to be a misogynistic liar there. Why has probably the best ever mp left the Labour Party ... Frank Field. Hang your effing head in shame jezza cos Field deserves beatification. OK i’m Not sure on the anti-semitism thing. Israel is a pretty ugly state and Palestinians have had a shocking time (understatement) but the retweet of that pic of Jews sitting on the backs of the poor was bad. There’s probably more but that’ll do for now. |

Would give the Falklands to Argentina despite the islanders voting 100% to remain British and also despite the fact the islands have never been in the hands of Argentina.
Would give Gibraltar to Spain despite the inhabitants wanting to remain British. Says he's like to disband the army although he'd settle for down sizing and an end to Trident despite our commitments to NATO. To be continued. |

Same old garbage from the defenders of the Imperialist Capitalist Establishment , every day same ole song
|
|
By:
Right on cue along comes Jeremys spiv fanboy to defend his anti-Britishness. Sad.
|
|
By:
Anxious, can nothing get through to you ?
Not garbage at at all. You really need to open your eyes or do you want this country destroyed. |
|
By:
Racing why are you playing the man and not the ball, this country has been destroyed by the spivs and their austerity , trickle down , destruction of the nhs/ social care , support for rip of private utilty firms , persecution of the poor and vulnerable by the DWP , Ignoring the plight of our young people , cuts to the police when crime is rising , etc
|

By:
This drivel about britishness is nothing but brainwashing by the establishment , does supporting the union jack pay the bills ?
|

At last something specific from you, anxious.
Ok i’m Not a fan of austerity but spending money wisely who can argue with that? A bloke I know got a bmw on that mobility scheme thing, where is the effing sense in that? People are rewarded for being helpless. Destruction of the nhs? I just don’t go with that. Mediacal care is getting moe and more sophisticated and that costs money. The reason I am on here tonight is because mrs cert is in hospital being looked after. 7 years ago she contracted ovarian cancer and the numbers on that are not great but she is still going ......thanks to the nhs. No I don’t like the utility companies but nationalised they weren’t great either. That’ll do for the time being. |
|
By:
Supporting the Union Jack?
I’m John Lennon with imagine but Corbyn and labour promote anarchy. |
|
By:
Sorry to hear that Mrs Cert is not well and I wish her a full recovery. Good luck.
|
|
By:
Racing sorry to hear about Mrs cert , hope she gets top treatment and lives a long time , your entitlerd to your opinions even though
i disagree |
|
By:
Thank you, mightymac.
And thank you, anxious. That is very gracious of you. I just wish we could always be respectful to each other. I hope I am. |
|
By:
On the original topic, stakes are already limited. I am limited to 34p max bet. Winning accounts are closed or restricted with bookies, so it would probably save the ones who can still bet large sums a right few quid, but in principle, I`m against it but betting with Credit Cards should certainly be banned.
|

By:
Best of luck RC and Mrs Cert. Stay positive and Mrs C can beat this.
|
|
By:
Yes good luck and best wishes to MrsC.
|
|
By:
Thanks, guys, but some things are inevitable.
It’s happening soon. Let’s not mention it again but thank you. Much appreciated. |
|
By:
Pretty sure I am taking the ball tbf, anxious.
I’m a great believer in the Buddhist thing about a finger pointing to the moon. Goodnight. |
|
By:
Anxious what part of my post don't you believe.
Everything I posted is true and JC is online saying what I've posted. As regards the Falklands I think he eventually suggested joint control by the UK and Argentina. BTW the Falklands are self governing and only rely on the UK for security and diplomacy. |

A traitor to democracy, a traitor to the working class and a traitor to Britain. Can't wait to see the level of cognitive dissonance and mental gymnastics this **** will need to employ if there's a General Election.
