Easy mistake to make I suppose. I invented a pair of socks once that came with a choice of nooses attached. I thought they might come in handy if one was passing by a harbour or marina, and a sailor needed help securing a boat. I expect you’ve all done the same thing too.

It's truly appalling how young designers appear to care nothing of tradition. A hangman's noose should have thirteen loops.
I suspect that the traditional hangman's noose employed thirteen loops because that number was already considered unlucky. Just a guess.
