Was my favourite subject a year ago but all ranted out now,the chances of making the correct and fair decision for all are quite slim unfortunately with the race card being played strongly at every opportunity.

what about that woman who was a man who won that cycle race last year ( in usa or canada ? ) , lengths people will go to win something. might have been called mckinnon, surely fellow competitors should boycott any tournament where she participates.

Just watched an 800m race starring Caster, and it really shouldn't be allowed ffs, the other women in behind gritting teeth and struggling to even stay with "her", Caster relaxed as you like sailing round in 1:55

It's not just the immediate level of testoserone as an adult, during the development process of a male and especially through puberty it makes a difference to the build.
Look at the shoulder blades on a woman and look at the shoulder blades on a man. They are significantly bigger in a man because that's where the big muscles go on. No amount of reducing testosterone will reduce inherant differences.

Archeoligsts can dig up bones that are 3000 years old and in seconds identify via the obvious differences if they are male or not, stunted, good diet, bad diet, and there is not a spec of flesh on them.

I have sympathy with Semenya's situation, but when 10,000 people are compromised significantly, instead of one person, it's the one person that should be compromised.

the case for Semenya is she hasn't dominated women's athletics completely, she failed to qualify for the World Champs in 2013, didn't qualify for the 800m final in 2015, 3rd in 2017 1500m and has no World records. Her best 400m time is around 2 seconds behind the best time in 203rd place, her best 800m time is around 1 second behind the record in 4th place and her best ever 1500m time is almost 10 seconds off of the top in 356th place. Then you think how far off her best times are compared to the men and they are of course much further.

I'm sure 9 out of 10 people would agree that Semenya shouldn't be able to compete as things stand, but I still think it's likely she's going to win this case.  Well done to the IAAF for bringing this difficult case to court though.

d-d-s her 2013-2015 poor form coincided with some form of sanction, which because of the Dutee Chand case the IAAF had to back track on.  So she was back to winning ways again after that.

IMO she hasn't ever tried to get the record as it would damage her career/earnings potential and everyone who has got better times than her and everyone on those lists is 100% on PEDs or a blood doping programme anyway so it's irrelevant only the physiological facts and her differences compared to the rest of the FEMALE athletes are blatant she's got a deeper voice than me ffs.

I know she has a relaxed running style that makes it looks that she's on the bridle, but she had that style even when she was getting beat.  Some athletes are like that.  They look like they've got plenty left in the tank when they are actually flat out.  Mehdi Baala was one.

What the IAAF *should* be doing instead of trying to reach a silly compromise is looking for ways to identify women who have clearly identifiable male physical traits and saying they cannot be allowed to compete in women's athletics.  People need to made to see that there is a clear and obvious difference between people wanting to identify as women (fine) and said people being able to compete in women's sport (which is clearly unfair).  Otherwise the floodgates will open and women's sport will be beyond saving

Semenya specialises in the 800m, if she were a competitor in men's athletics, she'd be mediocre, her best time wouldn't have made the top 40,000 times achieved. I think she was even almost done out of a gold medal in 2012, Russian girl who finished 1st had her results annuled after a drugs sample was retested so Semenya was upgraded. She looks very masculine but she's competitive in women's athletics, Serena Williams had the same effect in tennis (not doubting her sex) - she and Venus come to that, were so physical they literally changed the game and forced rivals to change theirs and become stronger, hitting the ball harder, maybe fellow female runners have to train even harder and work more on strength and conditioning?

Speculation suggests she does indeed have a pair and a vagina.    There have been cases in the past (a skier and a high jumper where they were dq'd for having internal male organs).  I'd assumed this was ruled out with Caster when she'd had all those tests done..  Even more ridiculous then that he/she competes on a level playing field.

Reality is if you are born a man, your a man, if you are born a woman you are  a woman.

That is nature, no operation can change it. Just because you close your curtains during the day it doesnt mean you have made it night time because it has gone dark.

Sometimes nature can play cruel tricks and people born with both genetalia, i guess in adult life that person has the right to choose which sex they identify with. Science can now show those people who could be considered dual sex, its not the individuals fault, but they should be barred from female sport due to the unfair advantage.
