In my view the vegan alternatives to milk and butter are superb. Alas, the vegan cheeses I've tried are not quite so appealing to my taste.

Anybody know of a good brand? Preferably one that melts. :)
Pause Switch to Standard View Vegan cheese. Any recommendations?

I would have thought that you of all people would know about cheese, Mr M. :)

Aye, but I don't touch vegan.

Actually, I'm very plain in my cheese tastes.

I do miss mature Cheddar cheese. No big deal, but it would be a treat to find a really good vegan alternative.

Many thanks, Miss D. :)

I do have some of that in the refrigerator right now. The texture is good, but it's rather lacking in taste and refuses to melt.

Yes, me too. I only buy mild Cheddar and occasionally Port Salut.

Veganism really does seem to be growing in popularity. I'm confident somebody will get the formula right soon. :)

It's been notable in recent years how the number of vegan alternatives available in supermarkets has increased significantly.
Report Pokermonster February 18, 2019 11:42 PM GMT
Is that vegan, Mr B?
Report Baphornet February 18, 2019 11:43 PM GMT
it is
Report Baphornet February 18, 2019 11:44 PM GMT
it's close to pate, so might be too soft?
Report Pokermonster February 18, 2019 11:44 PM GMT
Thank you very much, sir. I'll try it. :)

Does it melt?
Report Pokermonster February 18, 2019 11:45 PM GMT
Which supermarkets stock it, sir?
Report Pokermonster February 18, 2019 11:46 PM GMT
I ask about the melting as I'm rather partial to a baked potato with cheese and beans. :)
Report Baphornet February 18, 2019 11:47 PM GMT
