Or its other title - The Andrew Marr show.

Marr interviewing John MacDonnell, no interrupting from Marr no badgering. More like a cosy fireside chat than an interview.

Contrast this with the way Marr interviews any Tory MP, which earned Marr the title of the great interrupter.

Just shows that he doesn't consider him worth interrupting.

Is he stroking his chin?
Report Dr Crippen February 17, 2019 10:59 AM GMT
I don't think he's interrupted McDonnell once , even on the anti-Semitism issue he's given McDonnell as much time to answer as he needs.

I just heard him say "Jimmy Hill" under his breath.

Dr. Crippen.

Makes a nice change.
Your comments re ' biased interviewing' usually apply when Marr is giving a soft time to Tory ministers, and anything but to anyone from the Labour Party.
Statistics show the BBC is more biased against Labour

Particularly the dreadful Question Time programme. Which is unwatchable now that Fiona Bruce is running it !!
Report Dr Crippen February 17, 2019 12:33 PM GMT
Facts,

Marr never gives Tory ministers or Tory MPs a soft time.

And he usually waits until right the end of the interview to ask them the most damaging question of a personal nature, which denies them time to answer.
Tactics he reserves exclusively for the right.

Marr is as biased an interviewer as they come.

Try and play the doc a bit more subtly, it really can be tremendous fun.

There really has to be some alternative reality if people think that the BBC is biased towards Labour
Report STUDYFORM February 17, 2019 3:13 PM GMT
People see what they want to, aaronh.
No matter how much proof they're given.

The proof is in the pudding.mcdonnell happy to go on for a free ride with marr, refuses to be interviewed by Andrew Neil.marr goes from strength to strength on the bbc,Neil increasingly marginalised.

Labour have long used the Marr show to get an easy ride, Blair and Brown would always used the programme to put up a defence when they were getting knocked for mistakes. His wife, Jack Ashley's daughter, used to be a journalist and media producer on Newsnight, specialised in Labour politics supporting Gordon Brown according to Wiki. Very unbiased ,you have to be in a different world if anyone thinks this programmed ain't biased to Labour.
