the police had 24 officers on the case after he made the accusation of assault must have been a quiet week for shootings in the area to put so many resources into this case

When news of this alleged attack first broke the name of Donald Trump and the MAGA movement was mentioned umpteen times in every news report. Now Smollett's perfidious actions have been exposed it seems the media have conveniently forgotten both of these previous obsessions.

The FBi have been investigating the Federal Crime of sending threatening letters/powder through the post, all along, so he`s still off to jail, a;most certainly for longer than he would have got without the string-pulling. I think I heard that if he doesn`t pay, Chicago police can bring a civil case, which would involve all sorts of legal disclosures and evidence about the case being publicly disclosed; he really won`t want that! Yet his only alternative is to pay, bringing with it the admission of guilt.
