Andrew neil stepping down, bbc cancelling it.
Very sad, it's one of the very few things the BBC still did that was any good. Tried to mix humour with deep proper analysis and good journalism.
Maybe it's best it just goes and isn't tainted, any replacement would no doubt be trendy lightweight rubbish with every diversity box ticked (q.v. Loose Women Does Politics).

Surely a joke,one of the best programmes on.whats the problem bbc? not biased enough?
They are also cutting the news at 10 by 10 minutes to make more space for "yoof programmming"
very hard to get these shiow right as QT shows,the pledge started off ok now almost unwatchable as same guests just use it as a naval gazing exercise,sky,bbc paper reviews going the same way went from people giving up free time to fighting to get on tv to promote themselves
we,ve already got loose women mark 2 its called daily politics a perfect example of what happens when removing neil from the show,goes up a 100% in creditability the day he,s on
"Loose Women Does Politics" is so BBC 2019. Looking at todays billing it's 4/5 women. Sometimes it's 5/5 women. I can't remember an episode where all the guests have been men. Doubt it's happened.
If they were to keep TW going without a doubt the chances of the ****s at the BBC employing a white male as host, even if he was best choice, is now about zero.

The program starts: 5 women, 1 token man. Again.
Reading the bbc page for the shows closure it seems like it was Neil’s own decision,although we re not given the reason for his decision I would hazard a guess that he s still miffed from realising how far down the salary list he was behind similar commentators not fit to lace his boots. On reflection if he s going I’m glad the programmes going he’d only be replaced by some bbc lightweight who would allow politicians on both sides to to get away with spouting rubbish unchallenged

Maybe after he's gone he'll give us a reason. He's the best journalist on TV by a HUGE margin, many many people on all sides say that.
French home? My understanding he has a home here and in new york, he spends a lot of time over there and an interest in US polkitics.

This Week had become tired...the so-called humour was a waste of time and not that funny.....gave Portillo an undeserved platform....Neil is always interesting , even if he is a bit right wing....but he is usually fair.
stella creasy the latest looney female labour mp to be hung drawn and quartered on this week,basically advocating the chit chat/politics forum sorting Brexit out, the lady labour mp giving 50 quid for a haircut and scrub up to be primed for labour leadership is Alison McGovern never heard saY anything of real interest besides labour good/tory bad,might as well have an extra from shameless in charge
