anyone who joins isis has commited treason.
max punishment is life in prison. No reason why we cannot build a seperate prison for treason, with absolutely no chance of release. Very basic food, keep costs down. Anyone joining isis or any other group fighting against british soldiers should be charged with that. Doubt they would fancy returning then. That would be all legal to do too. |

I've thought long and hard about this. She is, unfortunately, British and so should be subject to British laws.
I have no idea whether there is an extradition policy with Syria. I hope there isn't and she stands trial there (or somewhere close) for war crimes and is subject to their laws. Families of beheaded people where known should be called as witnesses. I'd hope the sentence wouldn't be pleasant. It's hard to pass a judgement on a baby that has done nothing apart from being born. But I wouldn't be at all surprised to see her allowed back into the UK, given a nominal prison sentence, psychological support, new name and benefits for the rest of her life. |
