He was great as Richard in 'Keeping Up Appearances'.

I'd like to think he didn't suffer , but I've seen 'Keeping Up Appearances' and I believe he has finally found peace .

An excellent actor,must have bit his tongue thousands of times filming Appearances,made me laugh many a time,RIP Clive.
Indeed treetop, an excellent actor. He was in Hitchcock`s Frenzy which I was watching the other night and I mind he was in The Wilderness Years. RIP
His brother David Swift was a very good actor too, famous for playing 'Henry Davenport' in 'Drop The Dead Donkey'.
