It's interesting that they traced all the generational links between him and royalty. But these programmes never point out that it is almost impossible not to be a descendant of Edward III.

'Danny Dyer is descended from Edward III !' sounds improbable and amazing, but so is the narrator himself, so is the guy holding the camera, and virtually everyone watching the show.

Danny Dyer is not some 17th cousin 26 times removed from Royalty, he is a linear, direct descendant from the man himself, the fella commands new found respect, I don't see why he shouldn't be knighted by the Queen immediately IMO.

Edward III lived 30 generations ago, so his living descendants are not the royal family + Danny Dyer, they are almost the entire population of Europe and a substantial % of the rest of humanity. |

Darren: yes I get that Danny Dyer is a direct descendant. What I am saying is that so is pretty much everyone else.
If someone lived in the 1300s then, in 2019, they either have hundreds of millions of descendants or they have none. They found the 30 or so individual people linking Danny to Edward III through the generations. That you don't know all the names of the men and women in the line from Edward III to you doesn't mean you are not a direct descendant. |

Edward 111 reign started well, he started the 100 years war against France, in which England tried to bring France under English Rule. He won significant victories over the French at Crecy and Poitiers. This was then interrupted by the Black Death. In his later years he became senile very early and did very poorly in France. His son Edward 11 who succeeded him was GAY  , I hope Danny Dyer realises this, this could be repeated in his lineage |

I think Danny Dyer was in on the joke tbh, a better actor then given credit for, that clip had me in stiches, you could see he was trying not to laugh as was the American women telling him he was related to not only a king, but a saint.
