I was being a bit extreme there.....I think it is not advisable to get a highly visible tattoo as when the wearer gets tired of it..... then it is difficult, painful and expensive to remove.

Not all are idiots....of course.....just that they have not thought it through enough.

a friend of mine has her body just about entirely covered in tats.(no face tats)she says it has become some what addictive for her

My generation associate tatoos and shaven heads with 1960's skinheads and convicts so it is hard to make the adjustment. It is a fashion statement for many but do they realise how hard it will be to get rid of them when they are no longer in vogue?

Told my children when they went to university that if they ever came home with a tattoo they would be disinherited.

the divorce was not difficult it was the few months before it trying to act normally as i had known for awhile what he had been up to but i needed to get a few things sorted before i served him with papers.
one thing i never did was stop him from seeing his two daughters as for being a dad i could not fault him in any way and i never stopped the girls from seeing him.

as for the tat i thought it was a new beginning after 16 years so i decided to get it done

It's noticable that a lot of the 20 something attention seekers who come on TV are covered in them, caught a few seconds of a t@t yesterday with them all up his upper neck. Enjoy that when you're 50 something and all the ink has faded and bled into a fuzzy mess on your wrinkly double chin and you've spent decades with people instantly judging your stupidity...

I hate tattoos, I just don't see the point of them personally and I would not have one if you paid me.

Good on you not using your daughters against him.....it only messes them up when either of the divorcing couple do that.

I don't mind them. Depends where they are and how good the design is though. I don't think anyone has a great look if they have a tattoo on the face etc. Just as dodgy is Roger Stone with his Nixon back tat

I really dislike tattoos especially on women. I often see fat ugly women with them on the top of their tits, arms, back of the legs, shoulders, etc and think what's the point. (I do realise this is wrong on various levels!).

I'm an equal opportunites tat hater, I think they are crap on men as well.

The worst kind I think, apart from maybe a face tattoo, is writing on the knuckles. The classic "Love / Hate" type. Preferably done at home with a needle and broken Bic Biro.

I saw a woman on TV the other day with it. Classy it is not.

Virtually guaranteed a jeremey kyle appearance though if you say you have them on the application form!
