remember his documentary ( think it was an arena programme ) re scottish football managers all born round south lanarkshire coalfields, ie busby, stein, ferguson.
classic tv. hopefully repeated.

the alex Higgins docu with footage from workingmans clubs,snooker halls etc isequialent to smoking 20 woodbines just watching it cigarette smoke everywhere

And there is a great Twitter feed on the guy today if you are interested in such things.

His 'Arena' documentary "Busby Stein and Shankly, the Football Men" was a gem.

Fingers crossed some channel (maybe BBC4) would show all 3 parts again.
