Gin; this is from Windows

TunnelBearVPN is one of the most popular VPN solutions nowadays, with both free and premium plans. In general, the installing and configuring procedure of one’s VPN is rather simple and shouldn’t take too much of his/her precious time.

However, there seems to be an issue with the TunnelBear’s client installation on Windows platform. Namely, users are unable to install the TunnelBearVPN for no apparent reason and they can’t bear with that (no pun intended)

By the way, you aren't fooling anyone with a VPN. It is not that complicated to detect a user logging in with a VPN. Anyone that wants to know your real IP, will know it without trying all that hard.

A good vpn app will have a firewall that routes all internet activity through the vpn and blocks all internet activity if the vpn drops

True that(now I know why my VPN asks me to reconnect internet if the connection drops).

I of course don't have the technical expertise to defend the statement I made. But I was told this at work by the IT people. I was using a VPN on my personal computer and went to them to ask if I needed to disconnect my VPN while doing office work(as it was location sensitive work). They laughed it off saying, in short, that they(the people we were doing the project for) were able to figure out what my location was. This may of course not mean that they could see my IP but I still don't buy that my IP can't be tracked just because I am using VPN. I would think it would be illegal in that case.

ExpressVPN
working excellent for me, 15 months pay for 12 months cost me £80.  Highly recommend.

@ detraveller If you connect to a website using a vpn the website cannot see your IPA unless it uses some "device" (to be installed - malware of some kind - or already installed on your computer) to circumvent the vpn.  The infamous flashplayer can be used for this I believe.

As I said, the way round this is to ensure that your vpn app has a firewall that ensures all internet contacts go through the vpn.

In any case the vast majority want a vpn for streaming blocked content at home or on holiday (low risk of detection attempt) or placing bets when abroad (slightly higher risk of detection attempt) and playing poker (very high risk of detection attempt).
