I remember Noel Edmonds telling a Harry Chapin story on the radio once. It was something like this....

One time when he was in the UK HC stayed at Noel's house & on the morning HC was leaving he tapped Noel up for a couple of quid "for a taxi". Noel was a little disappointed cos he really liked HC & felt he'd just had his leg lifted. A few weeks later there was a delivery in the Edmonds household & when Noel opened the delivery there was a framed £5 note on which were written a few words. It was signed by HC & it thanked Noel for the loan of the fiver.Cry

I can't be the only one trying to think of a "Deal or No Deal" joke
Report Lee Ho Fooks • January 14, 2019 11:17 PM GMT
I forgot to add (because whilst I think this is true, my mind may be playing tricks on me).

The stay was just before Harry Chapin died & the delivery arrived after the road accident
