Heathrow stop flights

Departures at Heathrow have been stopped after a drone was sighted, the airport has said.

A Heathrow spokeswoman said they were working with police to "prevent any threat to operational safety".

She said: "As a precautionary measure, we have stopped departures while we investigate.

Will we get some proof this time ?

All it is is so they can bring in new laws

No drone will be spotted there for no pics or video footage

People will buy it like they do everything

When its this easy to enslave everyone why wouldn't you do it ?

Drone laws? A bit elaborate surely? I don't think bringing in Drone laws will see the streets full of protesters.

Yes Ib I think they often can have LEDs that blink but probably an option/mode.

I would think anyone flying a drone in the dark would want to see it.

It just beggars belief that a single "sighting" of a drone has brought one of the busiest airports in the world to a complete standstill

I hope authorities manage to get evidence of the drone - they sufficient occurrences - otherwise egg-on-faces again. Hope travellers are not too inconvenienced by this recurring nuisance.

Great news! David Attenborough etc will be thrilled. No flights! Less climate change!
