we simply cannot have that sort of behaviour - older people are supposed to teach younger how to behave

What great old fella that was, well done to him, I hope he never backs another loser.

The police don't recommend his actions though, you're just supposed to empty your pockets and shout brain me brain me angry robber men.

Lucky to be honest, he could've got severely done in, they may have been robber scumbags but they obviously didn't want to hurt him, guy swings hammer then pulls it as he swings, gun in face but no trigger pulled etc.

You'd think they'd earn enough on Mrs Browns boys to not be pulling that sort of thing!

I do hope the police have given the robbers counselling for losing to an owld man and gone on TV to reassure the robbing community that this is not a typical occurrence and they can go about their business without looking over their shoulders in future.

Any truth in the rumour the guy wielding the hammer ran in shouting that he wanted them to show him something that would be "nailed on"? LaughWhoops

What a bunch of bloody ****! In my day bank robbers were properly fearsome, shotguns and ready for conflict. These pups get bashed up by an old aged pensioner! How bloody embarrassing Laugh Anyway, to rob a bookmakers in such a 'smash and grab' manner is complete and utter stupidity of the highest order. All the will get is the float which could be as little as £200 quid, the real money is in the safe (15 minutes at least time delay) and what is in the fobt's which would be typically a couple of grand. If you want to rob a bookies, then think smart. Watch for a few weeks and get the pattern of when they do their banking. A busy shop in London will bank say twice a week for say between £4K and 10K typically, bop them on the head with a cucumber and jump on the moped and do the offski. These clowns, who will most definitely be caught, are looking at a 4 stretch each and all for nothing. Hooray, get those vermin off our streets Happy. The elderly gentleman will probably get a monkey in free bets (stake not included of course) and that's about it. He risked his life and for what exactly??
