and all other domestic animals and wildlife in general, with all the fireworks going off left right and centre at midnight, must scare the life out of them.

I have had a bad run but have rode the wave of re emergence of the favourites claiming the high ground  (man city and utd)

so back to backing the favourites  - is it ever thus as they say
Report moisok December 30, 2018 9:23 PM GMT
ps a pathetic result for the last weaks effarts  but already back up

one either takes it or fights back if one is allowed to use such language
Report brassneck December 30, 2018 9:29 PM GMT
if you back the favourites they will put up a page of losing favs, and if you lay favourites they will put up a page of winning favs,so best advice is to search for a game that is not on the main page, that will trick the software or keep laying the favourites for small stakes and back  them with another company for bigger stakesGrin

I suppose if you show a couple of grands profit over 3 weeks then one should be satisfied but I take every defeat personally

gambler's disease?? qua? or quo or - but if one can accumulate profit - what the hell?
Report moisok December 30, 2018 9:34 PM GMT
if you lay the draw you have to eliminate the draw fixtures   - I am so fkn clever ho ho
Report moisok December 30, 2018 9:36 PM GMT
I laugh how the odds stay low when the unfancied scores first -  so manutd ve bmth  is say   1.5  v  10s or somethign

the lay of draw is 7.8  if bmth score first it drops to something stupid  - say 4s   - why not grab a bargain?? the intial play for laying the draw is 7.8!!!

I am sure you know of this stuff brass
Report brassneck December 30, 2018 9:37 PM GMT
a better trick is to keep laying the top horse in every single race, you know you will lose but make sure you do it for small stakes, soon the betfair software will adjust to keep cleaning you out on the top horse, but if you have a phone and a mate in the bookies just ring him and back to top horses,it will keep making profit and betfair will keep telling you the winners but it breaks down after a couple of months when the bookie chucks your mate out of his shop, but then get your mate to find a new home.Wink

horses -!!! look it is bad enough with soccerball where there's only 2 feet to consider and with a brain!!  no hang on

that would be two feet and no brain!! judging from most soccerball players

my lady knows horses - she says they are NOT stupid

i was on purple today and prices are the same as betfair but purple move their markets first and then betfair adjust but purple are 30 seconds ahead and the bot on betfair reacts when you try to bet,but 30 seconds lets you know what the next price will be,and if a guy got an anti bot to bot the bots he would be laughingLaugh
Report moisok December 30, 2018 9:44 PM GMT
you yourself know there are so many draws etc one just eliminates the draws where one can and accepts the odd set back

as you very well know
Report moisok December 30, 2018 9:46 PM GMT
hey look - I have enough trouble following the soccerball stuff - just don't confuse me -

I do like your occasional comments though - most just do not get it

to survive the betting over the years takes some doing

well i give you a good point to consider on the soccerball, moisok,Liverpool are playing great football but(there has to be a but)they have had very few injuries, and ALL TEAMS get injuries during the course of the season (more so after christmas with heavy pitches),now if you take 3 top players out of the liverpool side it will dilute the side very badly, but if you take 3 top players out of the City side they will still be a strong team.
so its not a question of if it happens its a case of WHEN.and the betfair pricers on the league title winners does not take this major factor into consideration ."as i say its not if it happens its When.keep this in mind.

I have to laugh brass.   How do you factor the palace result etc  - having laid the draw I am in clover so what do I have to worry about the favourite or other - I base it on CITY are going to win or spurs or utd etc  but sometimes they dont

so if they lose but the dodgy opposition do   I STILL WIN

I've told this story before on the Forum so forgive me if you've already read it.

A mate of mine had a Kelpie. A Kelpie is a dog of instant obedience to voice commands being bred as an Australian sheep and cattle dog. My mate used to walk him around off leash but he had a strict rule. When they got to the traffic lights on the main road the dog had to sit until given the command to go when the lights changed.

Anyway on NYE my mate makes in hindsight the fairly crap decision to go for a walk with the dog. He's a retired bloke and time doesn't mean that much to him or the fact that it's NYE and the Sydney Harbour fireworks are 15km away anyway. So the dog hears the fireworks and takes off. The 100% obedient dog is gone. (I owned a Kelpie myself that was 100% instantly obedient that would just run straight home if he heard the rumble of thunder).

So my mate spends a couple of hours looking for his dog but with no luck. He goes home for some sleep and is back out a 6am. At the main road traffic lights he finds the dog sitting there all upright and alert the way Kelpies do. He'd clearly come to his senses since the fireworks and decided to go home. But he couldn't cross the main road traffic lights until his Dad said "Go".

Great story TKDM Happy My Muttley is the only pet that I've had that isn't in the slightly bit fazed about fireworks. He sits on the sofa with me as he always does and he looks out of the window, in his usual plot, watching the fireworks and he doesn't flinch a bit!Love
