difficult to microwave a steak to medium rare or chips come to that - at least not the nice crunchy ones they do

salad  microwaved - that would be interesting

microwaved fried eggs would be differen

Surely they buy most of the food in already cooked, and warm it up in the microwave where possible?

The fish are obviously fried on the premises. I doubt if they'd get the batter so crispy any other way.

Like if you have duck at a hotel, it's usually a boil in the bag job with the sauce included.

lasagne type dishes and some puddings definitely microed as in nearly all pubs - especially chains

steaks and fish are not nor the chips

fried eggs bacon etc???

beer is excellent

my local (greene king chain) do their own food at lunch time and very good it is  - much in the tradition of the old fleet street pubs in the 60s and early 70s  - not much micro stuff there -

Sorry wardy I missed your reply mate. I have lived in Beckenham and played cricket and hockey for them in the past but I live in Dulwich now and am settled here for good, very near to my old school Dulwich College.

Greece broke
45% youth unemployment in southern EU states
Belgium PM resigned after riots
Sweden doesn’t have a gov. Germany struggled
EU bully’s stamping on Italy budget
EU Commission run by a drunk

And the kit-kat-kid thinks staying in the EU is the safe option - oh dear.

98p to a Euro at the airport..

Brexit vote has made all in the UK poorer, 2 1/2 to bounce back, never happening, permanent damage, inflicted by Leavers.

Admittedly, we weren't trained chefs, and yes most of the food does come in frozen and is microwaved/fried. But it's cheap pub food, what do you expect? You won't get michelin-starred dining at £3.99.

The food is like any other pub/gastro pub. All bought from brake Brothers. The steaks and sausages are cooked on a grill the the fish is deepfried but everything else is either micro'd or Sous Vide (boil in the bag)
