Every time you think the Prime Minister will do something new, it turns out to be exactly the same thing as the last 17 times, with the exception of the time she called the snap election that lost her majority.

The Telegraph reckons the government has taken secret (it can't be that secret if it is in the papers) on: 1) extending article 50 2) which effectively rules out a second referendum 3) but makes it necessary to hold European elections in May (because we won't have left by then) https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2018/12/17/exclusive-secret-legal-advice-extending-article-50-ministers/

i do think she will delay the deadline, Ramruma. Whether it is by extending article 50, revoking it completely, or even the EU might delay it to help her. She has the AG at her beck & call so why would she need secret legal advice?

The vote with the current deal will never happen because not even she is daft enough to think it could ever pass, regardless of what they say, the EU do tend to do a lot of lastminute.com renegotiating on deals and that's what will likely happen when they really realise No deal is staring them in the face, then hard core Brexiteers will still not like the new deal but it'll have enough support then to get it through.

"Backstop" resolved deal goes straight through then May resigns
Biggest stitch up in history is achieved

tbh governments should be done away with and we go to a local run council that literally has everyone in it, no elected officials etc, we all get a say in what goes off
Governments have been nothing but a pain in the f****** a*** since their inceptions, voting in a "local nobody" only to then watch them bend over, and basically 650 MPs voting for things we never even knew about until they voted on them
Get rid and get a local parish to run things
