LFV - Nothing in Ebay rules to prevent buyers making offers, even if not invited by the "best offer" process. In fact, you indicated you were happy to accept best offers by making a counter offer to his offer.
You say "what kind of lunatic makes an offer and then says he can't afford it?". His offer was £85, which presumably he could afford at the time, you countered with £90 which he refused. Am I still missing something? |

By the way, you sure you did not inadvertently list this as "offers accepted". He does not seem the kind of guy who would use the term "counter offer" which is the Ebay auto response term to what was going on if you had.
