She says his comments are undermining the Brexit negotiations.

Fair comment imo.
When did Tony Blair do anything that was in the public's interest and not his own?

Surprised that Blair is still given a platform to air his views.
Report UBLE/REGY December 16, 2018 12:27 PM GMT
With a ten ton hammer hopefully....
I agree Dr Crippen

We ere told we would have one referendum to decide whether to exit or remain.
Not a series of referendums until we voted to remain.

Still May has to put her deal to Parliament for vote, before it can become law?

??????

was only 3 weeks ago on tv ex tory leader IDS, EX IRISH PM trimble, ex cabinet ministers were seen live on tv going into see barnier, ex pm john major jumping on every platform he can find to promote a 2nd reff, treason may couldnt give a foook what blairs says its all a transparent plan along with cabinet ministers talking about 2nd reff ,to try and peel a few mp,s off into backing her vote, pathetic in its transparency

very surprising akabula
Report Baphornet December 16, 2018 12:56 PM GMT
Believe it or not, Blair wants to be PM again. He's 'courting' Tories as well as Labourites behind the scenes. I believe he is gearing to set up his own Centralist Party. The arrogance of the man is unfathomable
Report Whisperingdeath December 16, 2018 12:57 PM GMT
Her comments are undermining The Brexit Negotiations!

She doesn't get she cannot get her stupid deal through Parliament.....oh and thank you Gina Miller for ensuring Parliament remains Sovereign in this matter!

bLiar makes plenty of important points and clarifies the situation. You don't have to know his motives or even agree with his views to know he is speaking a lot of sense!
Report UBLE/REGY December 16, 2018 1:09 PM GMT
If Ireland is the problem....May does not want a hard border between Northern and Southern Ireland, but I think the EU are insisting.

She will not get the support of DUP if she wants down the middle of the Irish Sea, no chance whatsoever!

Something has to give????
Report McCoy Carp December 16, 2018 1:18 PM GMT
Do they take euros in Northern ireland? If you walk into a shop is stuff priced up in both? Likewise shops close to the border in Ireland?
Report Baphornet December 16, 2018 1:21 PM GMT
I watched some nonentity the other day; speaking through their backsides yet again concerning the 'main' issue. It is one of the more important issues; but is not the only one. Anyone who thinks the Tory backbench will rally around the nutcase even if in the remotest scenario she gets the EU to legally dismember the backdrop, can think again

Just mention Iraq and the Chilcot Inquiry, and that should shut Blair's gob up sharpish. Blair has no audience here, maybe in Europe, and even the Middle East told him to **** off; egotist and is history since 2007.

Has Blair been back to Iraq since the invasion or is he not welcome there anymore?
Report Dr Crippen December 16, 2018 4:04 PM GMT
The BBC have him back on Radio 4 enough times, and he gets an easy ride.

No interrupting him when he's stabbing the UK in the back over Brexit.
Report jed.davison December 16, 2018 4:50 PM GMT
We will find him.

Dear oh dear,

I am not a fan of Tony bLiar and think he should be sitting in a jail somewhere and when he dies his God should send him to hell for what he has done but he seems to have a better grasp of the situation than the Prime Minister and any number of the idiots on here who are prepared to eat chicken excrement as a price for Sovereignty!

He makes many good points. He points out that Europe should be begging us to reconsider and challenge their own Four Freedoms and make some exceptions for us. Immigration and free movement of people is a problem for the whole of Europe and not just us.

The people leading our Country do not have a scooby and we need better insight to our options and solutions!
Report 1st time poster December 16, 2018 5:48 PM GMT

Whisperingdeath,
So you too believe in undermining the UK's position while it's seeking to strike a deal with the EU.

Unless you're not a British national then that might explain it.

If you are a British national then why are you so bitter against the UK?
Report wit-ham December 16, 2018 5:53 PM GMT
Often have shopping trips over the border between the
North and South and petrol trips depending on what side is cheaper
And as i keep saying the second ref is the Blair EU President vote
Report Dr Crippen December 16, 2018 5:58 PM GMT
What would Blair's first priority be as President - build up the EU army and invade Russia?
Report Foinavon December 16, 2018 5:59 PM GMT
An excellent reason for voting Leave again then.

Sorry Crippen,

I would like to answer your question but I have a policy of at least trying not to argue with idiots!

I am not bitter aginst my country Crippen. I just don't like to see it being ruined by loud mouthed idiots and bullies.

Who the fcuk do you think you are by accusing someone of trying to undermine the UK's position for having an opinion, one in actual fact that you don't even know! I voted to leave btw!

Leave / stay remains totally fcuking irrelevant for any young person who harbours ambitions to buy their own home!

I think Tony bLiar is for once ashley making some interesting  interventions and no I don't trust the chunt or his ambitions of reconciliation into society and maybe even a position of influence!

Do I trust the personal ambition of Borris, The back stabber Gove, Tory Posh Boy Mogg or the Prime Minister who has been lying to the Country stating Parliament would agree to her deal when there was Bob Hope and no hope of that happening? Do I agree with the snake oil salesman Farage?

This Country has been let down by it's leaders. Enough is enough.

Theresa May biting at Blair. Major and Heseltine must be hurting her too.
The problem with arguing with retired statesmen is twofold: It makes the PM look brittle and invites comparison with their stature.
Blair has too much statecraft to respond; he has already said what he wants.
Soon May will be howling at the moon, this one or the next..
Report Dr Crippen December 16, 2018 6:46 PM GMT
When I see people losing their temper as quickly as Whisperingdeath did there, I think it's a result of them not interacting with people off the forum.

Perhaps they live alone and are not used to being challenged over what they say.

Rudeness like that is more common amongst the benefit claiming classes.
