yes,the great man himself was having a secret affair with the sports of kings(horse racing).and when he died a drawer in his desk was full of gambling dockets, but the great man himself lived up to his name because the last bet he placed had 2 winners and a horse beaten on the line in a tight finish,if the story is correct.Shockedbut Albert had placed 3 doubles and a treble and a bet to win on each horse.Grin

Funny you should mention that coop

The earliest known evidence of gambling was in biblical times. Archaeologists found the preserved remains of a philistine soldier. They deduced that he had committed suicide because of gambling. They found a leather pouch containing a betting slip- 100 sheckels to win on Goliath. Laugh

I bet it was a bugger to work his bets out

He probably combined his horses using his space time continuum theory, the settler would wonder

what is going on here????

He worked out how to travel forward in time but kept it a secret.
After his death it was discovered that he had winning Grand National betting slips up to the year 2000.

You seem to know a lot about Einstein...Doo Wah, was a friend of yours?

I try to understand his theories but after a while I get lost.

Of course some of his theories clash with Quantum Physics, which I cannot understand either.

Perhaps you understand them better Doo Wah

I bet he was good at picking winners, with his brain?
Report Slicer December 16, 2018 9:42 PM GMT
I believe in spite of what is said, Einstein came up with his theory of relativity when he was his first race meeting where the finishing line crossed the winning horse. (One for the physics intelligentsia)!

Report UBLE/REGY December 16, 2018 9:58 PM GMT
I wish I had, well I hope it got you a good job Slicer.

I just watch documentaries ….pop science of course, not the real thing, but very interesting.

I had a brilliant career, not much to do with physics. But I have been retired for over 20 years and I have enjoyed every minute- of retirement of course!

Thank you for your good wishes and I hope you prosper. I will pass on 2 bits of advice: 1) Make the most of your time as it will soon be gone. 2) Success may not bring happiness, but happiness is success!
Report UBLE/REGY December 16, 2018 10:17 PM GMT
I do not think I have had much of either tbh

I think everything in this world is down to luck, probably why I do not back enough winners[:cry}

and do not understand advanced physics...even simplified
