They played Birmingham Bingley Hall a few days earlier.. I went with a mate but we didn't have tickets.

I remember offering a bouncer 20 quid cash to let us in.. We could hear the band Just starting to play as we stood outside in the cold. The bouncer was all for it, but his boss came over and put the kybosh on it.

Someone said hang around outside and someone connected to the hand would always come to the doors and feel sorry for the poor foookers outside and let us in. We hung around the doors all night but never got in. Being able to hear them, but not getting in was torture really.

I did see them a couple of times at Wolves Civic a few years earlier. Great occasions, great memories.
