Why would democracy be destroyed?
Report UBLE/REGY December 10, 2018 11:17 PM GMT
I agree with you case

We could send May back to the EU to try and get a better deal, but that means us leaving is going to be delayed.

She may not get it either since the EU don't want us to leave do they?
Report UBLE/REGY December 10, 2018 11:21 PM GMT
The Conservatives do not want us to leave, neither do the Labour Party.

Business does not want us to leave.

The people voted to leave

I dont think the people are going to get they want personally, waste of time people voting.

looks like Theresa has led the public a merry dance (pardon the pun)
what she is saying thinly veiled "my deal or shoot yourselves in the head"Sad

The people voted for May in the last election, so who do they think was going to be doing the negotiating?
Report UBLE/REGY December 10, 2018 11:29 PM GMT
I think Parliament should vote for Mays deal...then we are out.
Report brassneck December 10, 2018 11:30 PM GMT
i think the Queen has the power to sack them all if she wishes to do so,that another way out of it,they would all run for cover if they thought they were all going to lose their jobs for ever.
Report UBLE/REGY December 10, 2018 11:32 PM GMT
Of course the Conservatives also voted for May as leader.

Then what the Queen do?
We still have the same problem.....are we coming out of the EU or not?

Parliament must accept Mays Deal.
Report brassneck December 10, 2018 11:45 PM GMT
why i mention the Queen is because nobody is trying to solve the most serious problem the UK EVER HAD,and the people in power at the moment are enjoying their game of playing politics.play with fire and you get burned,if a no deal goes through everyone in the UK are placing an anchor round their childrens necks, and pardon the pun once again it will be MAYHEM.

AND they are all waffling about having time to reverse article 50 with one phone call, there is a term in article 50 that states that a reversal of article 50 can only take place without a referendum if it is agreed that the intention is to remain as a fully fledged member of the EU.

You are right Brassneck

This whole issue is in deadlock if this is not voted on, we seem to be in some sort of void.

Something has to happen.

Are we going to leave the EU or not?

The vast majority of people I know are past caring.  They're disillusioned with the endless stream of politicians (of all parties and on all sides of the Brexit vote) who will spout any old sh1te in order to feather their own nests.

Which rather begs the question, why on earth to the Brexiteers want to give these people more powers???

Anyway

Who's going to attempt to take the mace today ?

Diane Abbott probably thinks its a nice looking BIG gold chocolate bar
Report SontaranStratagem December 11, 2018 10:23 AM GMT
The thing is they just make an "amendment" and then come out with some bs to back it up

We never were leaving, 2 and half years later and some Brighton MP is threatening to run off with the mace Crazy
Report 1st time poster December 11, 2018 10:36 AM GMT
the most ridiculous comment and a get out for all mp,s is that people are sick of this, for millions of people they don't think of Brexit for a second month in,month out, its on tv if your interested you watch if not you change channel, whatever happens it will be the best part of 10 years before people see a notable change in their lives,
its lke saying adam boulton of sky is sick of the EPL he isn't he doesn't watch it

The whole thing has turned into a shambles , i think many of out politicians are just not up to it , whether its Tory or Labour we do not seem to have anybody with real leadership and the abilty  to take control pardon the pun and show some direction
Report Latalomne December 11, 2018 10:45 AM GMT
I should imagine it's very difficult to when the other side (of any debate) just shouts you down with whatever untruths are necessary to further their own cause.

Until they are made accountable for what they say, I don't see how the situation can possibly improve.

Indeed Lat. One of the reasons I'm pro-remain is that having two governing bodies means they act as bulwarks against each others' excesses. The idea of us leaving, and this venal shambles being in charge of creating a raft of new laws and regulations is pretty terrifying. May as well just hand over my salary and kids to 55 Tufton Street and wish them luck.
Report SontaranStratagem December 11, 2018 11:10 AM GMT
Who takes control of the tories if May is outed?

Its a sad state of affairs when you want someone based on their looks Laugh

All of them are next to useless so just stick Esther in the hot seat, at least she's a pretty face

seems the EU are the latest people who,ve been looked in the eye by treason may and lied to,she confidently told the EU that nthe commons would vote the deal through only 250 votes out,a blind man could see the deal was never going to get through the commons, couldn't get through cabinet, get passed by the DUP,  it was always THE deadest of parrots and an insult to everyones intelligence that it was allowed on to the euro star
Report Latalomne December 11, 2018 11:34 AM GMT
