Not having a fall back for any company is a risk log failure ....and it really should not be the headline news item .
Should at least have a back up using other networks at a big cost.
On all the main news stations now. It`s a sad reflection of society that everybody is getting into a panic because they can`t access the internet.
Poor wee imbeciles can`t send a photo of their dinner to their pals
I wish we could go back in time when if you wanted to phone somebody you had to go to the Main Street and enter a big red box.

I haven't been able to use the phone for calls for much of the day either!
Add to this my landline (BT) has stopped receiving calls for the last 2 days and they say the line is OK. (more hours to be spent sorting this, no doubt).
One has to wonder if there are hackers getting into big corporations and either blackmailing or at least disrupting things.
