Programme about sheik Mohammed's daughter who went missing earlier this year whilst trying to escape from the UAE..

Propagander stuff because they arrested and sentenced a British spy? Or something more sinister about the lives of people living there?
Should be an interesting watch.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/dec/06/family-of-missing-emirati-princess-says-she-is-safe-at-home

A missing Emirati princess, who witnesses said was seized by commandos from a yacht after trying to flee Dubai, is “safe” at home, according to a statement released by her family.

The statement did not include any video or other message from Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed al-Maktoum herself, who was 33 on Wednesday.

In a video Latifa made before her failed escape from the kingdom, she said she feared torture or worse if captured. Once a regular fixture in Emirati papers because of her taste for sky-diving, Latifa has not been seen in public – and friends say they have not heard from her – since early March.

“Her Highness Sheikha Latifa is now safe in Dubai,” said the statement from the court of Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum.

“(Latifa) and her family are looking forward to celebrating her birthday today, in privacy and peace, and to building a happy and stable future for her.”

It said Latifa and an older sister, Shamsa, who has not been seen in public since her own failed escape attempt in 2000, were “adored and cherished by their family”.

Witnesses say Latifa was seized by a commando squad who boarded the yacht she was using to flee the United Arab Emirates when it was about 30 miles from the Indian port of Goa. Her Instagram account was closed down following her return to Dubai.

wac twonky is. propagander?? he was not a british spy. and if he was you idiotically assume the bbc is in the govts. pocket, when the opposite is true.

the geezer was asking questions. normal enough behaviour in civilised countries, but enough for a death sentence for the wrong person in dobuy. i.e. a non-westerner whose disappearance will not be advertised. unknown numbers of bangli slave-workers vanish every year, to a chorus of silence from their own govt. who care no more than the revolting towelheads do about human life.

Peace talks aimed at ending almost four years of civil war in Yemen have started in Sweden – and hailed by the UN’s envoy as an important milestone.

It’s a war which has triggered humanitarian disaster on a massive scale, with Saudi Arabia’s airstrikes and blockade widely scrutinised and condemned.

But the role played by their key ally, the United Arab Emirates, has gone largely unnoticed. Yet the UAE stands accused of conducting a dirty war on the ground.

Our foreign affairs correspondent Jonathan Rugman has been speaking to to a high profile former prisoner who accuses the UAE of running secret prisons and subjecting hundreds of people to torture.

and if you had, you would have expected life imprisonment? its only because of the fuss made in the west that hes out. anyone else guilty of whatever the desert khazi deems 'anti-uae'(and there are plenty of them in their rathole prisons, where torture and murder are rife) is done for.

The BBC where quite kind to Sheikh Mohammed.

They didnt show large sections of Princess Lattifa's video. Which accused Sheikh Mohammed of murder, burning of people's houses and her own opinion of him.

The full video is on you tube for those who want to see it. A lot of the accussations are in the the last 5 mins of video.

I think thats why people fear for her life now.

Hopeful one day she finds the freedom she wants more than the money she has or had access too.
