The climate has been changing a little in some countries like North California (but who's changing it)  don't worry though as the trees are all fine, it's only the houses and businesses get vaporised.

Religion and Conspiracy theories opposite sides of the same coin.

Many inadequate people believe in them it helps their self esteem to feel  superior to the non believers, a lot like religion. Very popular in the Middle East by coincidence.

there is one 'conspiracy' that appears to be true, and evidence strongly supports it, but the interweb loons like mcann and co. are not interested. it is the one that says putin blew up his own people in a series of apartment bombings, blamed it on moslem terrorists, and flattened chechnya, to roars of approval from the russian public. his popularity soared. maybe, because there is genuine evidence, they dont bother themselves, preferring confected nonsense from 1.01 headbangers like rich d hall? i dunno, but it is curious.

There's quite a lot of psychological studies to support what you say about conspiracy theories but haven't looked at the religious angle. Does make sense though.

As you probably know Russia and Chechnya have a long and bloodied history. Undoubtedly atrocities were carried out by both sides several times. I think you will find it very difficult to find out any reliable information about this. Muslims and bombs does ring a bell though. The, admittedly small number of Russians I know, do not believe it was a conspiracy i.e. it was the Chechynayans(?) that did it.

there is quite compelling evidence, supplied in error by the fsb itself. their agents were spotted by residents of a block that was about to go up in smoke. the local police arrested them, and they all produced fsb i.d, and local plod phoned moscow only to be told to let them go. when the residents, understandably, went radio about the 2 tons of hexagen(a high explosive) that had been planted in their underground car park the fsb changed tack, saying it was an 'exercise' to test local vigilance. utter bollox. there is plenty of evidence about the other attacks also, most interesting is the putin spokesman who announced the terrible atrocity committed by islamic  terrorists several hours before it happened. fwiw the small number of russians i know(3) say it was another attempted mass-murder by the state.

the russian people have no idea. they have been kept in a giant prison for 100 years.it should be the richest, most prosperous country in the world, boasting, as it does, colossal resources that if harnessed rather than squandered, would make russia an earthly paradise. sadly, the union of soviet socialist republics(sic) and putins gangster state have destroyed it

Interesting. Are you Russian?
By:

hardly. not many russkies would use 'radio' as a synonym for bonkers. i strongly recommend david satter and his several books about russia, particularly 'the less you know, the better you sleep', an account of his expulsion from russia for 'anti-russian' behaviour. i.e telling the truth.

people are obsessed with the grotesque clown that is trump. but he is is transitory. bush, clinton, obarma, all come and gone. putin has seen them all off. 18 years in total control, with plenty more to come. but he is incredibly sensitive. say what you like about trump, he will not kill you(if he wanted to, the list would be too long) but putin? he will kill you. and your friends. and family. and what he wants, we should try to avoid as whats good for him is unlikely to be good for us. he wanted trump. he wanted brexit. he wanted scottish independence. he wanted lepen in france. he wanted afd in germany. he wanted catalonian independence. he wants nothing but division and distrust in western europe. he has stolen a huge chunk of ukraine and said to the west; what are you going to do about it? answer; nothing. its a fait accompli. he is now chewing up western ukraine. we make noises about it, but who wants to go to war? he knows this, and will press on into the baltic, and even scandinavia. and the leader of the british opposition is a puppet for the odious seumas milne, a putin apologist, liar and fraud.

He will not do that, not even Putin is stupid enough. He knows full well that would genuinely start World War 3, NATO would defend their own members. If he was stupid enough then Gotland would probably be a target to stop NATO using it as a base to gain access to the Baltics, which is why the Swedish have been cosying up to America for years.

To answer Jack's original question, I'm struggling to think of one story that doesn't have major doubts surrounding it.

Talking of the Russian threat, The British played a part in supporting the Mujahideen  who fought the Ruskies in Afghanistan. The M then went on to become al-Qa'eda.

As for Human Induced climate change I'm not sure.. I believe that localised CC (due to people) is very real. Unsure about CC on a global level.

71% of Earth is covered by water. So virtually no people. Of the 29% landmass about a third of that is desert, so virtually no people.

I'm therefore not (yet) convinced people can affect global temperatures, weather patterns etc.

On a slight tangent I'm not sure how CC people square the circle of lifting the poorest out of poverty whilst reducing CC.

If/when the poorest in Africa, China and India become prosperous, they will demand far more meat in their diet (deforestation for grazing, methane gas from animals...) Africa is largely vegetarian at present due to poverty.

Then there will be demand for plastics, white goods, etc etc. Africa and very large parts of India have yet to have an industrial revolution..
