The idea of animal rights etc is good but these guys are a too extreme and can do more harm than good...

Apparently today they are closing a DOG slaughterhouse in korea, which is good news.!

Sounds like they have a tough decision looming.

I think it is a jolly good idea - us in the Islington set are absolutely frilled at this advance in animal welfare

Often wondered what these vegans would like us to do with all the animals which die. Throw away all that meat, hide, wool etc?

Angus cattle were named after that area of Scotland.

Which in turn was named after the venerable lead guitarist of a rock band.

I remember seeing them at the Hammersmith Odeon in '77 (Bon Scott's last British tour) . Was Scotland named after the singer ?

You have to understand that their main aim is not to change the name of the village, it's for free publicity in the national media - for the same reason they took out a copyright lawsuit for the selfie taking monkey (see Gin's avatar)

Puzzlingly, while representing to the world that “animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way,” PETA seems to employ Naruto (monkey's name) as an unwitting pawn in its ideological goals.

Smith wanted to go further and say that PETA’s lack of next friend status should automatically throw the lawsuit out of court. In this case, the court went ahead and treated Naruto, a literal monkey, as a real plaintiff.

For most laypeople, this is a legalistic quibble, but it was enough to send Judge Smith ranting for pages and pages.
