Sadiq Khan has been accused of “taking Londoners for fools” after it was revealed that the cost of the Mayor’s staff in City Hall has increased by 60 percent since he took office two years ago.
A spokesman for Mr Khan said he “makes no apologies for his work”, despite the wage bill climbing from £3.8m in 2016 to £6m in 2018.
Campaigners said that this added £2.2m spend compared to Boris Johnson’s last year in office could’ have funded 36 police officers.
The increasing bill is partly due to the Mayor giving pay rises to staff, including to workers who were already earning over £100,000.
The salary of Mr Khan’s chief of staff, David Bellamy, has grown by over £5,000 since the Mayor took office,...

Khan is self-serving, and no surprise he said it would take 10 years to arrest the London Khanage in Landan of young black men. However, I think it would be a different response if another minority group was affected eg the prolific muggings committed mainly by an ethnic group in the late 80's thro 2000's.

If your priorities are different then what do you expect. Do they really want to REALLY stop it?? How does it affect common purpose cressie and little khan - they are under no threat. They are in highly paid comfortably looked after jobs with tons of benefits etc.
After all (re priorities) it is much more important to have 900 on looking out for people upsetting particular groups (not even a crime).
If you look at both of these people and their backgrounds you may get the clue.
I am not at all certain they want to stop this - maybe limit it a bit - they certainly don't want to go in strong on this.
There does not appear to be the outrage and disgust coming from them - the comments they make are hardly encouraging. 'consequences of living in a city', 'ten years to sort it' etc. I am wondering if you all get the drift now.
Meanwhile lots of youngsters are going to be out cutting people, and lots of young people going to be scarred for life in many ways.

Khan has been in politics for over 2 decades yet one cannot attribute one policy of note to his political life; he was very vocal (today) about the water-cannon bought by his predecessor for over £300k and sold today for £11k intending to disperse rioters but vetoed by Mrs May who was then the Home Secretary.
On the other hand the money spent on increased personnel and pay rises at City Hall has increased significantly post Boris.

Looking into Sadiq Khans past; I think people should be concerned with this..
1. A letter to the Guardian in the wake of the 7/7 terrorist bombings on London, blaming terrorism on British Government policy.
2. His legal defence of Zacarias Moussaoui, a 9/11 terrorist who confessed to being a member of Al Qaeda.
3. His chapter in a book, entitled ‘Actions Against the Police’ which advises on how to bring charges against the police for “racism”. This is the same police force that Mr. Khan exercises authority over.
4. His defence of Islamist extremist Azzam Tamimi. When Dr. Tamimi told a crowd that the publication of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammed would “cause the world to tremble” and predicted “Fire… throughout the world if they don’t stop”, Mr. Khan, who shared a platform with him, dismissed the threats as “flowery language”.
5. His platform-sharing with Suliman Gani, a south London Imam who has urged female subservience to men, and called for the founding of an Islamic state.
