There are large creatures in Loch Ness and Loch Morar and in at least one Russian Lake,and of course
there are Yetis and  the Sasquatch

The simple, honest answer to the question is; a few million years, loads of plants (most bigger animals are veggies) and some correct geologic conditions for them to need to proliferate.

SOME GOOD POINTS BUT THE QUESTION IS WHAT IS NEEDED FOR A NEW BIG  ANIMAL TO APPEAR ONE MORNING LIKE ALL THE OTHER  BIG ANIMALS .THE DINASAURS WERE THE FIRST AND THEN THEY WERE WIPED OUT AND DID NOT COME BACK .SOMETHING MUST HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT FOR THEM NOT TO COME BACK .
THERE WAS ONCE AN EARTH AND ON THAT EARTH DINASAURS CAME INTO EXISTANCE AND OTHER BIG CREATURES .THEY WERE HAPPY TO APPEAR .BUT WHEN THE METOURITE HIT EARTH THEY ALL WERE EXTERMINATED .SO WHY WAS IT WHEN THE EARTH RETURNED TO NEAR NORMAL THEY DIDNT COME BACK.SOMETHHING CHANGED AND I THINK THAT METERORITE WAS THE CAUSE BY MOVING THE EARTH. .UF IT WAS STILL IN TGE SAME POSITION  THEN IM SURE THAT THE SANE BIG CREATURES WOULD HAVE COME BACK

THE PLANETS LIKE THE SUN GIVE OFF CERTAIN PROPDRTIES LIKE THE SUN GIVES OFF HEAT .WE KNOW THAT BECAUSE WE GET HOT.BUT THESE OTHER PLANETS MAY GIVE OFF PROPERTIES THAT WE HAVECNOT DISCOVERED BECAUSE WE DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE .

JUST LIKE THE SUN DETERMINS WHAT LIVES ON EARTH.
IF WE WERE NEARER THE SUN SOME SPECIES WOULD PROSPER ABD SOME WOULD DIE AND THEN EVEN NEW SPECIES WOULD APPEAR

WHAT IM SAYING IS THE EARTH WAS ONCE IN ONE PLACE .AND OVER TIME DINASAURS AND OTHER PREHISTORIC CREATURES EVOLVED .NOW ONCE THE EARTH GOT BACK TO NORMAL AFTER THE NETEORITE HIT IT THEY SURELY WOULD HAVE EVOLVED AGAIN.

BUT THEY DIDNT WHICH TELLS ME THAT SOMETHING WAS DIFFERENT .AND THE ONLY CHANGE OCCURED WHEN THAT METORITE HIT EARTH. . THE METEOUTRITE MUST HAVE SONETHING TO DO WITH IT.

THE METEROURITE MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING WHICH WOULD NOT LET THE DINASAURS EVOLVE BACK HERE .
SOMETHING CHANGED .THEY ONCE HAD NO PROBLEM EVOLVING HERE SO IM SAYING THE EARTH MOVED TO DIFFERENT DISTANCES FROM THE OTHER PLANETS.

BEFORE SHE LEFT ME SHE GAVE NE HER TEL NUMBER AND TOLD NE TO RING HER IF I EVER FANCIED TO GO   FOR A CUP OF COFFEE SOMETIME .I THOUGHT THAT WAS A VERY NICE GESTURE.BUT AS MUCH AS I WOULD LOVE TO BE IN HER COMPANY HAVING A CUP OF COFFEE .I COULD NOT LET A NICE YOUNG GIRL ABIUT TWENTY FIVE LISTEN AND PUT UP WITHMY VIEW ON LIFE. SHE DOESNT NEED TO LISTEN TO MY WOES .SHE DID ME A LOVERLY FAVOUR BY OFFERING ME HER SEAT .I WILL DO HER A FAVOUR BY NOT LETTING HER INTO MY LIFE.

SOME PEOPLE WILL BE AFRAID TO VOICE THEIR OPINION AS THEY MIGHT NOT  THINK THEIR CLEVER ENOUGH TO HAVE AN OPINION .BUT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU IS ENTITLED TO SAY WHAT YOU THINK SO LONG AS YOU DONT SWEAR OR UPSET ME OR TRY TO SAP MY CONFEEDENCE

I would think, if the meteor theory is correct, that the planet would have not only had tsunamis and earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, but that the following few years would have been particularly cloudy and cold. There wouldn't have been enough for the dinosaurs to eat and it might have been a bit too cold for large cold blooded animals. That's if any survived such a big impact.

Also their original development took 100's of millions of years, they didn't just turn up one Saturday morning.

Did you know (and I think this is right) that the Tyrannosaurus and triceratops lived about 65 - 70 million years or so ago, about 40 million years after stegosaurus became extinct. There were loads of others that existed and became extinct before that too.

Also the world was a different place, all the continents were joined and it was pretty much 1 land mass (what is now Antarctica would have been around the equator, for instance). As with everything else in evolution it all takes so much more time than we are able to understand.

Add to all this that most of the evidence has become hard to find and new discoveries are being made all the time.
