i pulled an old pair of boots out of a cupboard today. i bought them on a holiday in the USA in about 1994 in El Paso Texas. If you are gonna buy boots that's the place to buy them
they were crazy expensive for me at the time ($300) but seemed like a good idea at the time. i wore them on that trip but coming home they seemed a bit out of place so never wore them
much after that.
i just polished them up & they are quality leather and look great. they are not proper cowboy boots as they have a square toe so maybe more a biker boot.
Do i dare ware them at my age (52)? they add 3 or 4 inches to my height, i'm thinking i look damn good in them but i probably look like a sad old fool

Go to a line dancing club, stick them on, strut your stuff.
can't call yourself a real man if you wear cowboy boots imo.
not fancy enough for the line dancing. need the pointy toed highly coloured ones for that.

i wish i had them. 99% of the boots in the store i went to were pointy toed proper cowboy boots, pointy to get into the stirrup easily, i bought square toed.the square toe was favoured amongst bikers cos in the old days of kick gears it made it easier. Clint Eastwood mostly wore square toes though so that was good enough for me

not shoes, i've no time for shoes, real men wear boots. i decided that a couple of hours ago when i found these boots.
Real men die with their boots on, so be careful for the rest of the day.
Of course wear them but get yourself a nice cowboy hat to go with the boots as well to round off the look. Oh and a leather waist jacket as well of course, you'll look very dapper

Go for it mate - my little boy has some great ones as his mum is Texan - got to keep the roots 
thanks hank, i've been breaking them back in for the last hour or so and i'm away to meet a pal for a beer at 7 & I'm definitely wearing the boots.
They only look good with jeans, 501's particularly. I'm 5ft 10" but I'm 6ft + in these.

Squared off boots mean you can stand 1" closer to the bar to get served quicker and 1" closer to the urinal to avoid people looking at your willy.
