I do not condone the abuses by Catholic priests, football coaches, aid workers, carers, etc, on young children, but I thought we were discussing the grooming of venerable young white females solely by a specific community ie the British Pakistanis, and not the Chinese, Indians, Thais, Indonesians, Malaysians, Singaporeans, etc. Why are the relevant authorities and some of the media not being specific about who the perpetrators are? It is the British Pakistanis, and not South Asians or Asians - please be accurate. This is a heinous crime, and political correctness must not be allowed to hinder the truth.

Just because someone is born in Britain......and gets a British passport as a result.....doesn't make them "British" imo...of course it does on paper though.
...no need for smart arse questions along the lines of....so what is "British" then?..we have always been multi cultural, blah blah blah.....if push came to shove though, and god forbid, we have another war because our shores are threatened, what percentage of those same "British" citizens, would volunteer and sign up do you think?.. .....just one example of my point, is a British born colleague of mine in his late 40's.....who gets very excited when Pakistan play/beat England at cricket. Now some might say.....who cares.....to me, it says more than that, and paints a bigger picture!! Ultimately the question is.....where do your loyalties truly lie when the s..t hits the fan(or way before it does for that matter!)?....... Unfortunately for the indigenous population....I would guess there would be more of a "I can't be arsed" attitude, compared to 80 odd years ago!! |

I always supported Scotland over England during the 80s because of Dalglish, Souness and Hansen. Even now I will generally take the mick out of England as frankly I hate the London-centricness, the ridiculous coverage and expectation, the casual racism and hooliganism that often follows the team etc etc.
Does that make me unBritish? Personally I think the idea of nationality, particularly the idea that certain nationalities have identifiable traits and characteristics is bunkum. My two daughters are technically mixed race, in fact one was born elsewhere. But I doubt you'd find anyone who'd say they weren't British given their appearance and voices. Not sure what British really is these days and, more importantly, I'm not sure why anyone should really care. |

Soon there will be no Britain left anyway (if they get their way). A void of identity that will be filled by something other.. If you can't see the juggernaut coming down the road towards your daughters and their children then I feel sorry for you. |

No surprise that you piped up, albeit with a weak analogy(Scotland v England???...wtf). What I do find surprising, having admitted you have two daughters, is that you continue to be unable/unwilling, to admit/realise the real and present danger to young white girls in widening areas of this country by men who fit a specific profile.
Of course there are others who work mainly in isolation that are also a serious threat to any young female......but numbers wise, i.e....their victims, are just not comparable. Lest not forget, this is a major additional problem/threat to primarily our youth, solely created by the government/s who have allowed those responsible(or descendants/relatives) into this country in the first place. This country has always had it's own law breakers of all laws. Their job should be to have the health/safety and welfare of the citizens of Britain as their utmost priority. |

Inj - it's just that biologically, chemically there's no such thing as national identity. If you too 100 random dna samples you wouldn't be able to tell people apart and group them via their passport.
Lay - I thought the supporting Scotland part is every bit as valid as your supposed colleague supporting Pakistan. Go to Malta and see the country split in half on supporting Italy or England and you'll realise sport isn't necessarily patriotic. Regarding being a father of girls I realise the world is a dangerous place. I've done what I can to teach them about potential dangers and we all go to karate so they can potentially better defend themselves. However, if you think teaching them that every Pakistani is probably a paedophile is the right way to go then you're bonkers. They know there are some bad people out there but also know that people are individuals. I make an exception for Man Utd fans. There's no way one of them is setting foot in ours but beyond that they are supposed to develop judgment and fairness. They've seen their mother being abused simply because she's a foreigner so we've already had the conversation about stereotyping and racism and how the actions of an incredibly small number don't mean everyone is the same (again Man U fans apart). |

To be a citizen of one's adopted country one has to grasp the many aspects that come with it be they positive or negative eg culture, tradition, way of life, food, law of the land, and the WEATHER! But I think some ethnic groups are here solely for economic and educational purposes.
I love curry as much as I love fish and chips or cornish pasties nevertheless I do not want to sit next to an individual smelling of any of the aforementioned food on public transport. But I have, in the past, especially in certain areas on buses. |

You seem all round very confused......comparing Man Utd fans to the subject on here, being the ultimate example,(now girls, the main thing in life is, you have to be very wary of Man Utd fans....have you got that?)......and to a lesser extent mentioning Scotland and Malta!!.....if meant as a joke....then not an amusing one.
Your choice of a foreign wife (no problem with me or anyone , I would assume), and the subsequent shared experiences, seems to be at the root of your viewpoints regarding any criticism of anything non "British"......and btw, most are aware that child sexual abuse is not only committed by men of one specific profile, and the subsequent permanent damage it inflicts on the victims. It is just that, despite the efforts of the media, more people in this country, outside of the numerous victims,relatives and friends.....are becoming more and more aware of a specific type of child abuse. |

Rey, what is the lesson in saying one nationality is statistically extremely unlikely to be paedophiles but potentially more than others, even if that number is technically close to insignificant.
I mean, firstly has anyone actually done a league table of this. Are we sure Canadians aren't right up there for instance? What about Rwandans? And if you're talking about British girls being raped then I'm pretty sure British rapists would be streaking away at the top so my warnings should surely be to avoid British men. Secondly, how is nationality a defence. Should they be asking to check a guy's passport before deciding to get in the back of his van? What is the valuable life lesson you're proposing exactly? As for this 3.05 post I remember believing it had all been covered off in subsequent posts so didn't need a direct reply. Apologies if you feel undervalued by that. Kept in solitary for 8 years for allegedly saying something negative about Mohammed. Released at last but many in Pakistan want her killed. She's now in hiding.
