When you think about it, two men throwing their vocal oar in during an ongoing process and theoretically ****ing it up, isn't it wonderful to compare Hain and Tommy the "right winger" and how they are dealt with (or not) and how the media deal with them (or not) ....

It would mean a prison sentence for Hain just like anyone else if he wasn’t hiding behind parliamentary privilege

NDA's should not be allowed to cover up illegality.

This case should be a good test for the laws of our land. Interesting to see what happens.

Look at Robert Maxwell. He pilfered pension funds from his companies for his own gain, and no journalists (there were loads) on his payroll dared to challenge him in court, why? He was too powerful (press baron); too well connected (politically and judiciary); too rich to be touched!

I think if Lord Hain was to repeat his accusation outside the corridors of the Houses Of Parliament crowd-funding would be on his side; a long drawn-out court case would open another can of worms likely not to be conducive to SPG, personally and/or commercially, I firmly believe.

I suppose anythings possible , let him go it and then it doesn’t matter how much money Hain raises he will have broken the law and will be sent to prison

Ahh crowd funding. The 201* legal attack route of the virtue signalling pillock.

Unless impossible , you think it’s a good thing that he should be able to escape the law because he was able to raise a large sum of money

Thought you were against that sort of thing

This "case" was already being processed by the courts and the "gagging order" was interim.

It's just typical of the likes of Hain to think he knows better. Looking at his wiki page he's a remoaner who voted against article 50 as he "knows b better" than the electorate, was a lib dem at one point, and who has ALREADY been processed for contempt of court on a different matter.

WAC.

The Law should be changed.

Many laws should be changed that protect the rich people in our society. The ability to transfer profits made in this country from tax payers in this country and send them abroad to be taxed at a lower rate or no rate at all should be stopped.

Trust laws need to be looked at.

Leasehold Laws need to looked at.

Tax payer money given to large land owners needs to be looked at.

The Labour Party needs to look at itself. There are so many open goals for them to shoot at and they keep missing.

If anyone wishes to go to court they can go to court
what’s difficult to understand about that ?

I do not condone what Lord Hain had done - I follow politics but not politicians closely. But SPG has form eg BHS pension pot/disgraced 3x bankrupt/£1 sale. I was on the side of Sir Cliff Richard against the BBC - not crowing - instincts and experience alluded me to his innocence.

To verbally abused another individual from a position of power at work is illegal similarly, sexually. If crowd-funding assists in getting to the truth or as close to it it can only be good.

Look at the immigrant female doctor who was thrown to the wolves (GMC and court), and found not guilty of gross misconduct after support and crowd-funded by her fellow junior doctors. Instead the system and her superiors whose behaviour and action had created the scenario that brought her to court and de-registered by the GMC.

I firmly believe any individual especially those with enormous financial power must not be allowed to silence something that could/would be in the public interest, regardless; it seems only the rich, famous and powerful resort to NDA to facilitate this cause. Maybe the Law is an ass in this instance.

That doctor made the mistake led to a young patients death
She marked him as do not resuscitate
Her stupid incompetence led to the death of a 6 year old boy

Both Hain and Green have tarnished reputations and are s hits of the highest order. To have knighted Green and ennobled Hain exemplifies  corruption within politics.A plague on both of them and here's hoping they shortly disappear for good.

I believe there was a genuine mix-up.

A child in another ward on another floor did have a non-resus tag however, the child in her care was moved without her consent and knowledge, and when asked she did say no (resus) fully believing it was not the child in her care, and neither did the nurses dealing with that child told her the child had been moved. Also, the notes he left for her immediate superior clearly stating his conditions and constant observation required, but I believe this was ignored or not deemed urgent by that superior who'd been teaching in a university earlier during the day; this superior could/would not confirm or deny that was the case; he then chose to work in another hospital in Ireland.

I have a close friend in the medical profession who indicated the GMC did not believe or assist her for fear of damaging their public image, and that could have happened to any junior working in the conditions under the NHS.

I understand a child lost his life, but the doctor cannot be deemed solely responsible given the catalogue of errors by other fellow professionals eg nurses/doctor and instis eg GMC and the NHS - the unfortunate event was just waiting to happen, and it just happened to happen on her ward when she was the only doctor (junior) present with several emergencies to deal with at the same time. She had also just come back from maternity leave, and it was not her ward either; I believe she was allocated that ward because of her seniority as a junior doctor with good reputation as there was no other doctor present.

The death of that child was tragic and unfortunate.

She made basic elementary mistakes , not one but a series of them including failing to spot ‘ barn door ‘ signs of sepsis
These series of mistakes led to the child having a heart attack and she messed up even at that point and the child died

She was and probably still is completely incompetent and should never be allowed to work in any hospital again
Once of course the usual suspects tried to get her reinstated others were afraid to speak up and go against that for fear of charges of racism and in fear it would harm their careers ,
That is what happened here , it’s a warning against how politically correct types are prepared  even to put the lives of people at risk

Are you for real? She was not incompetent, but a doctor (leave the ethnicity out of the debate) with an exemplary record prior to that unfortunate event; the GMC was quick to strike her off their Register, and was just as quick to reinstate her post the Court case after the damning report. To those closely involved in the profession the GMC fed her to the wolves and washed their hand of her without acknowledging or understanding the consequences ie the GMC conveniently "delegated" their obligation of care and assistance to one of their members to the Court Of Law. How reassuring for others in the same profession!

are you for real, we do not know what her re4cord was before this death, if the child hadn't died we may never have know just how incompetent she was and how she was incapable of diagnosing and treating what should have been clear to any semi competent doctor. We don't know if mistakes have been covered up in the past or if she was hiding behind other more competent staff
We don't know, we only know because of the mistakes she made the child died

A doctor has to be able to stand on their own two feet, yes even under times of stress
There were mistakes in procedure and other failings no doubt
This merely served to highlight just how useless she was
By:
lfc1971

We are never going to agree about the doctor thus best to agree to disagree. However, should you choose to prove her incompetency may I advise you to recourse The GMC for more info and clarification.

As for SPG he'd not be the person I'd feel sorry for one iota. Someone who "paid" £330m (BHS pension) to keep his knighthood does not have my sympathy; paid out another 7 figure amount to accusers for "a" banter? My foot! I shall leave you to make your own judgement.

By:

When: 28 Oct 18 14:52
no we are not going to agree and I suggest you read the report on the findings of the GNC and her failings leading to the child’s death and her incompetence are made quite clear
By:
lfc1971
When: 28 Oct 18 14:55
Of course they did say they were worried if she was struck off this would lead to more incompetent doctors being worried about revealing their mistakes
You couldn’t bake it up , don’t worry about them being totally useless as long as they own up
By:
lfc1971
When: 28 Oct 18 15:02
It really is almost unbelievable that anyone could make the mistakes she did and not be so distressed and ashamed and heartbroken not to admit her guilt and walk away forever
That mindset is very hard to understand

Only on here... True to form.

Green is paying people off to almost certainly cover-up more sleaze and nastiness.

Crippen can't see what's wrong with it (quelle surprise).
Just Checking sees propaganda against "Tommy" and how Hain is a "remoaner"
ufcdan has a little mention of Corbyn
Lfc has a go at Labour, but mostly goes into loads of posts on a totally unrelated topic.

Are you all mad?

Attention seeking Labour dickhead thinks he's above the law. How arrogant.

Attention seeking
Above the law
Arrogant

Mmm - I think Philip Green tops Haines in every one of those three observations - by a very long way.
