It's a tradition in my house for me to compliment the mother in law on her witches costume and make up the day before.

I usually get about 10 groups knocking on my door, just local kids who pretty much always have a few parents in tow with them. I get in a few bags of those mini haribous packs and bite size milky ways, mars bars etc but it's not something I ever get involved with apart from that.

We take the kids trick or treating, but only to friends and family who are expecting us. The big groups of mostly older kids who go around knocking on doors practically terrorise some people.
