He's obnoxious, but like powerful men through the ages he has swapped favours -leading to huge rewards for the ladies involved- for a few minutes of sex with some young lookers. It is very distasteful, but they are trying to hang the historical bad behaviour of all rich sleazy men on one man's shoulders. Just as distasteful is the behaviour of  the women who did the deal and kept quiet about it for years until they smelt more money in the offing. They were all happy to move on and let him use the next batch of aspiring girls.

The assumption is that all women are victims of men.  I think taking advantage of innocent girls etc and using your power like that is repulsive.  But also there are some women have also taken advantage to achieve their aims.

Harvey Weinstein is a dirty individual that deserves contempt.  That doesn't, however, make him a criminal.  These women sold their bodies and dignity in return for a shot at fame.  Not nice but too bad if they now regret it.
