Well they said that about doctor who as well but it didn't stop them going down that route to destroy a once great show, I've seen that the BBC have also given the show a 4 and a half star rating as well, everyone who's done a review on it in the MSM have called it "great", I mean are they allowed to have a real review on something nowadays?

Bond, they can &*&* off. It never works the other way, does it? Black or gay or female person plays a male character, like a shakespeare white male, it's a victory for "diversity". White guy plays a black character or man plays woman, all hell breaks lose. Just a month or two back it was announced Jack Whitehall was to play a gay character in some Disney film. The Snowflakes did NOT like this one bit. Far from "isn't it great a straight guy is ok to play a gay guy, how modern", it's that only gay actors should play gay bits. Try saying that only straight actors should play straight bits. See how these hypocritical d1cks would react. |

Sontaran you are of course correct that the BBC have done that not because it's the best plot line, flows naturally, or any rational reason.
It's entirely for virtue signalling, politically correct, "diversity", and gender politics reasons.
