Exactly, 1st thoughts would be to hang him but presume his life will be as miserable as hell, hope so anyway.

From what i read, stewarts rise, people like him get segregated so he can't get harmed and then he has a cushy life ahead, no work, no housework, no cooking, no cleaning - just three meals a day lovingly prepared for him, it makes my blood boil

There has never been a better advert to bring back capital punishment, we've tried the Liberal approach and its failed miserably.
When we had capital punishment, we never had DNA, and video's of police questioning like we do now, hope this helps the liberals who scream about miscarriages of justice

I like the US justice system. Death or 999 years with a third off for good behaviour. Personally I would adopt the eye for an eye, a throat for a throat approach and sentence him to death by cuts. Start off with a cut to the face, then gouge the eyes then cut off the face, then cut the testicules etc etc, finishing with the throat. Many of us have the anatomical knowledge to carry this out, but of course the human rights brigade are in control!

If 27 years is too liberal, why don't we all stab our daughters, or murder any 8-year-old?

The answer is obvious. We don't do it because we are normal, more or less, not because we carefully weigh up a life sentence against the death penalty.

annie - Yeah , sorry about that . I've sobered up a bit and now , thinking about it , I reckon gouging out someones eyes and cutting off their face and testicles is definitely the way forward for society .
Being civilised is sooooo overrated

It's an horific crime and it's not easy.  There's a sense that justice is served if he gets the death penalty, but then the death penalty doesn't sit easy with me.  It's like society getting dragged down further by the sick crime and on that basis I'm against it.  Illegitimi Non Carborundum
