taking the dogs for a walk and came across a dead badger with its head missing ,looked to have died recently 1.e last 10-12 hours ,mystery is what decapitated it ,my initial thoughts were possibly badger baiters/hunters but its location is puzzeling ,it was on the concrete walkway along a beach and a good walk from the nearest easy access ,so if it was baiters why take the trouble of dumping it a quarter of a mile from the road ? ,cant imagine a wild animal big enough to tackle a badger and a dog wouldnt be able to decapitate it without leaving other injuries visable . any explanations ?
it was near cooden beach ,wouldnt get a tractor down there and no car access , after thinking about it the concrete walkway backs onto gardens of houses that overlook the beach ,wonder if that is significant .

Morning Foyle, We must be near neighbours. We have a regular seal visitor on Cooden beech and in early September, there was a huge shark 25 yards out to sea. It was there for about 15 minutes - Haven't seen the badger though
