HEARD a presenter on sky last night obviously in London saying it wasn't unusually for people to pay 1500-2000 grand a month on childcare,should be inquiry into why childcare costs so much and if any industry needs nationalised this is ripe, if the government cant set up childcare for less than a 100 quid a week,something wrong somewhere

Israel does some terrible things. But many other countries do worse. The problem is, Israel gets singled out. Instead of asking what mother would deliberately put her child on the frontline where bullets are flying about as Gazan mothers do, they say-Oh those nasty Israelites shooting people who are trying to cross into their territory and who are firing rockets and trying to wipe them off the face of the earth. No point in debating-all positions on this forum and all others are firmly entrenched.

We on the left have a huge problem with capitalism - it provides the machinery and the jobs to make the cash which us socialists want to spend to make things fair.  Does that sound, crudely, right?

The problem is that if we interfere with it where will the cash come from to pay for everything? 

After all it is YOUR money the mandarins spend on behalf and/or with all governments.

Not in the speech but presumably there would be an increase in Income Tax for higher earners and probably across the board and an increase in Corporation Tax.
