It's a bit puzzling to me that of the reported 500 moggies that have mysteriously come to an untimely end in and around the Croydon area it is being put down to foxes. The reason I say that is that there are quite a lot of parks and woodlands around me and we get plenty of urban foxes looking for food and untold amounts of cats live locally but I've never heard of anyones cat being killed by a fox and that's over many years. That's not what the police are saying. Their conclusions are all the cats were killed by blunt trauma, which they are saying means hit by road traffic. Then the foxes come and take their heads and inflict other mutilations. |

Foxes will take any Carcus, why they are taking Heads off Cats ?? They would take the whole body and eat most of it ,any dead Animal will also be eaten by certain Birds

Sir David Attenburgh says cats are killing millions of birds a year in the U.K. ,cat owners in general and yourself in particular are just a load of hypocrites and jokers ,you even spouted off on a thread about the morals of shooting pigeons recently and even suggesting you would punch someone in the face who was intentionally harming a bird ,can you not see the problem with that statement coming from a bird murderer like you ? The idea that there is a serial cat killer coming from cat owning animal rescue tree hugger types says it all ,the Chris Packhams of this country feed the guillable luvvies and they end up irritational and paranoid ,cat runs over road and gets under car/van/truck ,disappears into a garden and hides and dies ,along comes a Fox who either finishes it off or finds the carcass and needing to takeaway its food to Cubs chews threw the neck and carries it away .Maybe the get the taste for it and devolop the skills to take a full grown moggy ,pass them to their own cubs and they do the same ,all the foxes have the taste for it ,maybe badgers too .Towns are now awash with foxes and any improvement in food litter/waste management will increase cat predation by the local wildlife ,it’s poetic imo ,poor foxes have nothing else to eat .

I can honestly say my cats have never killed any birds to my knowledge, I've certainly never seen the evidence. They have however, presented me with several dozen dead mice, so they must be doing something right, even in your warped mind, although it distresses me to witness any animal being killed or tortured. Of course I don't live in a leafy are like you, which explains it. The only bird I see is the Chukar Partridge and that is too big for a cat to tackle. |

For kenny mann from my local free paper the London Evening Standard.
https://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/nearly-20000-sign-petition-urging-met-to-reopen-croydon-cat-killer-case-a3944206.html Nobody, absolutely nobody in my neck of the woods in South London believes that 500 moggies have been killed by cars or have been subsequently eaten by foxes, there is no evidence to say otherwise. |

cHEERS SLIPPY, HAVE YOU SEEN THAT POST OF BREADNBUTTERS AT 3.25. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE **** THAT MAN IS. NO COMPASSION WHATSOEVER
Nearly 20,000 people outraged at the Metropolitan Police’s announcement to close the investigation into the Croydon Cat Killer have signed a petition calling on the force to reopen the case. Last week police revealed who they thought the Croydon cat killer was, announcing that the culprit is believed to be foxes. After around 500 pets were mutilated in Croydon and surrounding areas, the Met said there was “no evidence” a human had carried out the killings. ADVERTISING inRead invented by Teads The decision was met with fury from pet owners and animal charities alike. croydoncatkillerstorm2.jpg Five-month-old Storm was believed to be one of the victims (SNARL/Facebook) South Norwood Animal Resuce and Liberty (SNARL) which had taken on numerous cases of dead cats since 2015 questioned the Met’s investigation and said it would continue carrying out its own probe. A petition, which was started last week, has attracted thousands of signatures, with people calling for the police to “find the disgusting person” believed to be responsible for the animal’s deaths. Vinnii West, who started the petition, said: “Metropolitan Police say however, after three years of investigation and untold amounts of public money spent, the case of the “Croydon cat killer” has finally been closed as police admitted the deaths can be attributed to vehicles and foxes. “Animals are being killed by blunt forces, And a clean cut. Surely the ‘animals‘ killing them, would have teeth mark." READ MORE Croydon cat killer: how the three year police hunt unfolded Lynda Wiggins, who signed the petition, wrote: “Don’t think for one minute foxes are to blame for these horrendous acts, the families of these poor cats must feel so let down. “The police should continue to investigate and find the human/humans responsible.” Victims of the supposed Croydon Cat Killer also appeared to sign the petition. Laura Francis wrote: “Some maniac killed my cat, not a car or a fox.” Announcing the closure of its investigation last Thursday, the Met had said: "Following a thorough examination of the available evidence, officers working alongside experts have concluded that hundreds of reported cat mutilations in Croydon and elsewhere were not carried out by a human and are likely to be the result of predation or scavenging by wildlife.” More about: | South Norwood Animal Rescue | Croydon Ca |
