Can't remember the ex submariner type on here but at 10pm on BBC 4 there is a documentary about submarines in the cold war from both sides.
Non submariners are free to watch as well.

Long story short, at my work we had a quite a few ex navy people from Portsmouth and Ireland, all good guys but i used to call them deep sea skivers, they all took it well.

Good programme last night. Not the one I saw so my boat won't be on next week 
bought back lots of memories. Never looked at it as something special at the time, it was just my life. I was happy being on a sub, I must have the worst sea legs going 200ft down and you don't feel a thing
