I look forward to your respected opinion slippy. I owe you one, as you recommended a very good one to me in Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?
A cracking film indeed.
p.s. You not watching NFL on Sunday?

There are a lot of classic foreign films out there which a lot of people haven`t seen.
Another one well worth a look is the Russian film Child 44

Sam Sheperd plays the part of Chuck Yeager , it’s about the early days of the space race but starts with Yeager a WW2 hero and first man to break the sound barrier Shepherd is terrific , wonderful film

Thought it might be too well known , but no one seems to have seen it it’s not really about the space race in some ways , it’s hard to describe just how good it is especially in some ways the early part when Yeager is the focus and testing aircraft in the Mohave desert It resembles a western at that point

Peckhamplex in Rye Lane is £4.99 per person every day whatever the film. My local cinema is the Brixton Ritzy which is as much as £14.10 each which to me is a bit fierce to watch a film.

We watched a very unusual (independent, sundance film winner thing) film the other night. Spent the first 10 mins saying "What IS this?", stuck with it and it was very good. Not like anything I've seen before. Which is refreshing.
We looked at the ratings and it was the epitome of a 'Marmite' film. Quite new, made in 2017. It made us laugh in quite a few places. It's available free on Sky. Called "The Little hours", it would be interesting to get some other opinions.

Sleeper is a good film mukdahan, I've seen that a couple of times.
Two films that I'll put into the mix which I think are absolutely brilliant. 'Glengarry Glen Ross' and 'Being There' which was Peter Sellars last film and to me it is a bit of a masterpiece.

Some of Bananas was hilarious too... there was the Sylvester Stallone scene and the porno scene... Both nearly killed me...
