I would believe anything possible of the omnipotent.
It has never ever been about me suggesting anything that might be greater than us cant do things far beyond our minds. What I question is why people assume those who say they were directed, were telling the truth. How many do you think on death row say god told them to? |

By:
maybe i should add first I dont know the answer to that in munbers, other than its loads

Only they know whether they're telling the truth … & God, of course.
I believe the Bible was written by God, through men. Women? I don't know. Probably not. I'm not a Bible scholar and don't know enough about it. Some of it's literal, some figurative. A lot of it can be taken in various ways. Perhaps much meaning has been lost through the translations? Whatever, it's there for any who are interested and nowadays it's only a few finger movements away. Peace out. It tea time ![]() |

They take their word for it. |

Keeping with the Bovine theme, as the great philosopher Paul Calf said
"Bag a Shite" |

Trilby, how can you write what you just did.
You just admitted blind faith with no required evidence. With all respect, why should we accept such nonsense? |
|
By:
Unlike Zorro, I don't think Trilby is asking us to believe it. Such beliefs are based on emotion rather than logic. He will have his reasons.
|
|
By:
Of course trilby. God can do anything. You ever heard of Noah?
|

I admitted blind faith, Dusty? That, indeed, is nonsense. My faith is absolute and I need provide evidence of it and for it to nobody. Required evidence? Lol, thank you for starting my day with such a hearty giraffe! Move it on over shiria law (sp?), here's Dusty of Ever Hallowed Chitchat's Law
![]() ![]() ![]() Foin, your first sentence is 100% correct. I push Christianity on to nobody - that turns people away from God and that is the last thing I want to do. God is there for you if you genuinely call on Him. Listen to the wee, small voice calling from within yourself and you will find out for yourself. Until then, mock and scoff all you like - that is of no concern or care to me for I am aware the vast majority of people are mockers and scoffers. That is their problem - not mine ![]() Zorro was, in part, a false prophet and he allowed himself to get carried away with his astrological thing - which was, tbf, quite fascinating (and may yet have credence to it. I found his whole 70 year analogy extremely interesting.) but I did warn him about it on more than one occasion. Your second sentence is maybe 5% correct and your third 100% so. Mac, your second sentence is spot on. Bravo, Sir ![]() Anyway, I seem to have unintentionally somehow derailed Terry's fred, sorry Tel! I'm done here ![]() |

When I was younger I assumed that having a belief in God would make someone a better person but as I got older I realised that they were as likely to be a tw@t as a non believer....only in a more sanctimonious way.
At least some of them realise that a tw@t like them pushing their belief on others would be more likely to put people off. |
