I don't 'get' avocado either I.S.I'm not a fan of olives either.

stilton..looks lovely..tastes terrible. I wish i liked it to be fair. Every time it's there I try it but it still tastes rank.

Didnt like stilton when i was young but now red wine and strong cheese is the norm, nearly moving onto that horrendously strong cheese you have to leave out of the fridge so it can breathe and ripen so it tastes better Had some last week on holiday, it was intense but stank.

I have 2 friends that eat olives like peanuts SB, i dont like the texture or the taste.

Pauly - Running the risk that you really really don't like it, try drinking it with something that suits it......Tawny Port (do NOT pour it on the stilton), Sweet French wine like Sauternes, Sweet Sherry (bog the last bit of your mum's Harveys Bristol Cream!) or beg a bottle of Sloe Gin from a friend. All these are perfect with Stilton and many other salty Blue cheeses.

IS - Red wine and Stilton are seriously wasted on one another

Although not strictly a food, whisky of any type tastes foul.

Anyone that eats foie gras should be locked up.

For me, salmon is vastly overrated, although I enjoy tinned red salmon!
My mother had the best recipe for cooking salmon. Stuff a whole salmon with herbs, lemon, and chopped onions, wrap in a damp, clean tea towel,
place in a preheated oven for 25 mins. Take out the fish, unwrap it, throw it in the bin and eat the tea towel.

Although some of you may disagree, Corn on the Cob for me

Smothered in butter it looks lovely to just munch away at, but never could stomach the taste

As a kid I always liked the look of raw sausages, especially the insides. Not sure if I ever tasted them but I'm pretty sure they wouldnt have been too good...or healthy.

Sontaran - Wrong thread re "Resotto"(sic)  - Actually does look a bit like sick, except for the lack of carrots, but tastes wonderful when properly made.

Phall curry.. why anyone would want to eat a curry that feels like a firework has gone off in their mouth is completely beyond me.

I had a Phall once and I swear I thought I was on drugs; was as high as a kite for several hours after. Not the first time I've felt high on super-hot food either, although a Vindaloo I can handle with no problem. Strange

Had a curry marked 7 stars for hotness in a middle range pub/restaurant.

They did have a warning, but I never thought it could possibly be as hot as it was!

Was very very ill and ended up being sick.  This was about 3 years ago.  The last time before that I had been sick was 1983!  (Retsina/Greece)
